Why are so many of us playing antique games on our new systems?
If I allowed auto-downloads on my 360, I would already have 500 demos of games I would normally need a broken 360 to actually make me consider playing. But I do play them, even the editors at 1up are playing them ( they love ‘em! ), so it must be asked at this point, why are we?
Are the new games really so bad that we need to turn to competitive pig-tossing sims from 1989 for fun? Are we just kind of gullible and basically play whatever Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo offer up?
If we pretend that the answer to these questions is not obviously yes, I’m stumped for another reason , because we’re turning our state of the art machines into the equivalent of a Game & Watch.
