Here’s one you didn’t expect: ModNation Racers is coming to the PSP. Shocking, I know. Announced via Sony’s PlayStation Blog, United Front Games’ ModNation Racers, the proposed next installment in “Play, Create, Share” will be coming to the PSP day in day with the PS3 version. This will follow the same pattern LittleBigPlanet took when it too was ported to the PSP. the only difference being that PSP owners won’t have to wait an extra year this time around. And as far as when ModNation Racers is going to release, well it seems not even Sony knows for sure.

The PSP version will feature online play, as well as the ability to create your own tracks just like its PS3 counterpart. Sony, nor United Front has clarified how these features will differ platform to platform. Based on the announcement trailer, it looks like PSP owners will have the ability to Create their own Kart (yes that’s cart with a K), create their own tracks, and share them online.

I guess Sony was really serious in turning this whole “Play, Create, Share” into more than just what it was for LittleBigPlanet. It won’t be surprising to see upcoming titles use steal this slogan for their own marketing purposes in the future.
