The second installment in the Seiken Densetsu series, Seiken Densetsu 2 was re-named "Secret of Mana" upon the USA release.

Seiken 2 is an action-RPG, where fights are executed like a normal action game, and not via menus. The player is controlling three characters at the same time, it was also possible to play 2 or even 3 players cooperating; controlling one character each.

In the Japanese version, the preset names were Randi (main character), Prim (the girl) and Popoi (the spirit).
