Princess Fuse is the wife of Yatsu, last priestess of the Gale Shrine, and member of the Satomi House. After her husband Yatsu was killed by demons while weakened by illness the Gale Shrine fell into Crimson Helm’s control. Kusa village was overrun by demons soon after and the divine air was tainted causing a foul essence to linger over the village. She summoned the eight Canine Warriors who serve the Satomi House but they did not return.
She was possessed by an imp but was saved by Ōkami Amaterasu who soon after located five of the eight Canine Warriors. The other three did not return but handed over their Satomi Power Orbs that would allow Princess Fuse to enter the Gale Shrine to face Crimson Helm. Amaterasu went in Princess Fuse’s stead and managed to reclaim the shrine while restoring the divine breeze. With everything back in order Princess Fuse took up the task of training the remaining five Canine Warriors (renamed the Kusa 5) who had previously neglected their training due to their previous master Yatsu spoiling them. Princess Fuse soon had the warriors back in shape and tested their abilities against Amaterasu.
In Ōkamiden Princess Fuse and the Kusa 5 are found in the Kabuki Playhouse in Sei-an City were they’ve taken up theatrical careers.
