Canine Warrior Jin is a Shiba Inu entrusted with the Justice Orb and was one of three Canine Warriors who left Kusa Village. Canine Warrior Jin is found living in Agata Forest under the name Ume ("plum") as Kokari's's dog. Ume and Kokari had been exploring the Tsuta Ruins when a loud roar caused Kokari too flee and accidentally leave Ume trapped in the ruins where he was devoured by the Spider Queen. After being rescued it is reveled that Ume willing stayed behind to teach Kokari a lesson in responsibility after he had been reluctant to fix a broken bridge out of fear of failing. Ume is later devoured by the fish Whopper but after being saved and beaten in battle explains he knows Princess Fuse summons him and that it is his duty to fight Crimson Helm but owes his life to Kokari and his dad who saved him from certain death. The Justice Orb is then transferred to Amaterasu relieving Jin of his duty to Kusa Village and the Canine Warriors.
Ume and Kokari later travel the land together and can be found in Kamui. In Ōkamiden Ume and Kokari have returned to Agata Forest.
The Satomi Canine Warriors are eight dogs of various breeds who serve the Satomi House. Each possesses a different virtue in the form of a ‘Satomi Power Orb’ that grants them great power. Despite their duty to Kusa Village, Princess Fuse, and the Gale Shrine the Canine Warriors do not take their training seriously and will frequently disobey orders or ignore them completely due to having been spoiled by their previous master Yatsu. When the Gale Shrine fell to Crimson Helm and Kusa Village became ensnared in an evil essence Princess Fuse summoned the Satomi Canine Warriors. When they never came she sent Amaterasu to find them and upon their return started to train them seriously unlike Yatsu. An item called the ‘Canine Tracker’ is capable of locating the Canine Warriors when needed and will force them to return to Princess Fuse. But use of this item decrees that its user must prove their worth by beating the canines in battle, however only four of the eight Canine Warriors ever bother.
