Uragaan is a large, bulky, mineral covered creature and has developed an incredibly tough hide to survive in the volcanic regions it occupies. Its back is lined with four rows of blunt ended crystal columns that extend down its back and tail. A hard rock-like shell encases its chin and is used to crush foes. In addition to its ability to eat rocks when exhausted the Uragaan can roll into a ball, resembling a car tire which greatly increases its speed and agility while being able to make quick turns. Uragaan can produce fire, sleep gas, and fling rocks into the air with a swipe of its tail.
A blue subspecies of Uragaan with darker skin and a metallic sheen can be found in volcanic habitats. Blue Uragaan is sometimes referred to as the ‘Crystal Uragaan’. It’s chin glows red, tossed rocks burn, and it can release a yellow gas. The reason for its blue color is unknown.
