Nicolas Games began in 2004 as a small publishing company working mainly with minor producers of adventure games, strategy titles for hardcore players and some children’s games; it has also published games for Macintosh as well as the PC platform. However, among those titles a few shining stars had emerged – productions such as the series of Runaway, Half-Life 2 and Sins of the Solar Empire.
In 2009 NEG acquired the studio working on Afterfall. Intoxicate Studios was provided with the means and freedom to work on its project, which in the April of 2010 began taking shape and was announced to be utilizing the Unreal 3 engine under the working title of Afterfall:InSanity. From then on we have been working diligently to prove that it is possible for a small studio without much experience to create a truly great game. The fruits of our work will finally be up for grabs in the November 2011.
