Description Edit | History

Making games is easy. Lots of people can do it. Your cousin can totally make one. Even that guy at the coffee place is probably working on some totally great idea. You can too. After all, it's only some pixels and numbers rattling around inside your phone.

This fundamental optimism and lack of common sense is why Beep Games, Inc. has been doing stuff with pixels and numbers for over a decade now. Beep Games has been around since 2003 A.D., with roots that go back to 2000. That's the year Clayton Kauzlaric left a perfectly good job to start a company and make a game about a plucky Voodoo Doll for the Xbox. After that, the company shifted its focus to casual games for PC and mobile devices. Kauzlaric works as a Senior Design Director at Microsoft Game Studios where he has worked on console, social and mobile games

Ron Gilbert's career in the game industry is almost as old as the game industry itself. He's best known as the creator and designer of the beloved adventure games Monkey Island and Maniac Mansion. Ron also pioneered children's software as the co-founder and creative director at Humongous Entertainment which brought the world characters like Putt-Putt, Freddi Fish and Pajama Sam. Ron was the creator and designer of The Cave, released on just about every gaming platform on Earth in 2013.

Gilbert and Kauzlaric first collaborated on Total Annihilation at Cavedog Entertainment in 1997 and have worked together on six games under the Beep Games label since then. The two also co-created the comedic RPG game DeathSpank, which released on XBLA and PSN in 2009.

Beep's philosophy is simple. We make games that appeal to us. You might like them too.
