We've got a lot of geeks on this site, and we've got a wide variety of ages. I wonder how many consecutive months in a row a geek was born?

If you want to join in on this what can be loosely called fun, post your the year and month of your birth on this geeklist (assuming the month/year combination is not already taken). Also post something interesting that happened that month.

The more people who add, the neater it will look.

Claim your month and year before someone else does!
Posting gets you a shiny geekpenny

Please make your month/year big and bold.

So far:
Youngest: June 1998
Oldest: March 1946
Years missing: '48,'50,'54,'58,'89-'96
Most Consecutive Months: 9 (70-71)

This is going well holes are filling in, giving us longer and longer streaks.

January 1971

According to Wikipedia, All in the Family debuted on my birthday (Jan 12th)! Funny, I don't think I've ever watched a single full episode of that show.....

I DO remember the theme song though, sort of:

Not sure if that means I actually watched a full episode or not.

APRIL 1972

April 7 - United Airlines Flight 855 was hijacked enroute from Newark to Los Angeles, and diverted to San Francisco, where the 85 passengers were released in exchange for $500,000 ransom and parachutes. After the 727 returned to the air, the skyjacker, Richard McCoy, Jr. then bailed out a few miles south of Provo, Utah, from 16,000 feet.[7] McCoy landed safely and hitchhiked home, and was not caught until two days later.

April 13 - The United States Senate voted 68–16 to approve the War Powers Act, which would limit the power of the President to commit American forces to hostilities without Congressional approval. The legislation then moved on to the House.

April 19 - The first organized storm chasing took place when a team, led by Rodger Brown of the National Severe Storms Laboratory, drove toward a mesocyclone near Davis, Oklahoma, to collect data. The Tornado Intercept Project was created by the NSSL and the University of Oklahoma.

April 19 - Two American warships were bombed by a pair of MiG-17 jets from the North Vietnam. The destroyer USS Higbee and the light cruiser USS Oklahoma City were attacked, with the Higbee having a gun mount destroyed and four sailors wounded.

April 21 - American astronauts John W. Young and Charles Duke, Jr. became the ninth and tenth persons to walk on the Moon, after the lunar module Orion had landed as part of the Apollo 16 mission. The mission was the only one to the lunar highlands, near the Descartes crater.

April 25 - Photographs that developed "right before your eyes" were introduced when Edwin H. Land of the Polaroid Corporation demonstrated the SX-70 film and camera.
