We've got a lot of geeks on this site, and we've got a wide variety of ages. I wonder how many consecutive months in a row a geek was born?

If you want to join in on this what can be loosely called fun, post your the year and month of your birth on this geeklist (assuming the month/year combination is not already taken). Also post something interesting that happened that month.

The more people who add, the neater it will look.

Claim your month and year before someone else does!
Posting gets you a shiny geekpenny

Please make your month/year big and bold.

So far:
Youngest: June 1998
Oldest: March 1946
Years missing: '48,'50,'54,'58,'89-'96
Most Consecutive Months: 9 (70-71)

This is going well holes are filling in, giving us longer and longer streaks.

NOVEMBER 1987

November 18

My birthday is also the birthday of Walt Disney's Mickey Mouse.
The short cartoon "Steamboat Willie" was first released on November 18, 1928.

Some facts:

- Original name idea: Mortimer Mouse
- The first few times, Mickey's falsetto voice was spoken by Walt Disney himself
- In the beginning, Mickey was just a suitor for Minnie Mouse and he was turned down by her several times
- First comic strip: January 13, 1930

- First length film: Fantasia on November 13, 1940

- Several adaptions of famous classic fairy tales like Mickey and the Beanstalk

- On November 18, 1978, in honor of his 50th anniversary, Mickey became the first cartoon character to have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame
