BGG.Con 2012 Math Trade Actual Geeklist
Time to dust 'em off and move 'em out. Special considerations in the Random Number Generator will be given as long as you hope my stuff will trade.
I strongly encourage you to subscribe to the Actual Discussion thread.
Dates: See also the Actual Discussion Thread for details.
Deadline to add games: This list closes in the middle of the night on Sunday, October 28th, 2012 at 11:59pm CDT (GMT -5). I reserve the right to forget and close it first thing in the morning.
WANT LISTS DUE: SUNDAY, 4 NOV 2012 MIDDLE-OF-THE-NIGHT Note this is the day that silly Daylight Saving Time ends (or starts) and will confuse everyone, so just get these in before I wake up, okay?
Results Posted: Monday, 5 November, 2012. (Before 9:30AM, Central)
RESULTS FINAL: Tuesday, 6 November, 2012. Noonish. (This allows for human error. Namely, mine.)
Trade Happens: In Dallas! Final details TBA. Don't Sleep In!
Restrictions, Policy, Official Rules
Not much different from the last few years. I'll try to punch it up if you're rereading.
This trade is open only to actual paying attendees of BGG.Con 2012. If something happens and you can't make it, the onus is still on you to trade that game. Find a proxy, or eat the shipping costs all ways.
I do not plan to restrict duplicates in any way. One man's thrift is another man's trade fodder; but I do ask you to be reasonable, since I've got to answer questions about duplicate protection and the "COPIES" feature.
You can list as many games as you want. Again, be reasonable since people got to scroll through the list. You are still responsible to bring all of your successful trades to Dallas. Check with your airline for luggage and weight restrictions since it sucks. (This year, I plan to FedEx my trades to the hotel.) You must honestly and accurately list the condition and edition of your items. Play nice and be considerate to others. When in doubt, take pictures and be insanely specific about the most inconsequential of scuffs that only appear under a full moon.
Special cases on what you can list:
No cash. Give your money to the vendors. Please, no open bribes.
No Gift Certificates or Gift Cards. Against the spirit of this trade.
No Geekgold, unless as a sweetener.
RPGs of all kinds are welcomed, encouraged, and hoped-for.
Your Unpublished Prototype is always welcome and actively encouraged. Think of it as a free blind playtest.
Video games are allowed.
No garbage. To clarify: I know that we all have differing values and beliefs, and that we are all beautiful and unique snowflakes. But please don't list actual worthless things or badly damaged games. Be kind to your moderator's typing fingers. If you've got crap, try and give it away elsewhere.
Outside the Scope of BGG: I selfishly don't want to scroll past tons of non-game stuff; but this is a no-shipping trade. You can list non-game items (DVDs, clothing, weed whackers, kidneys, vinyl records, large home appliances, fine art, used socks, whatever), but you can only list one non-game item for every three real games you list. Use Outside the Scope of BGG for these things.
I will use the most recent version of TradeMaximizer unless someone invents a better way of doing things between now and then.
The use of JeffyJeff's Online Wantlist Generator is required to participate in the trade this year.
My wantlists will be public. So will yours.
Do not delete anything you add to this list. It is a hassle and headache for pretty much everyone- just change the item to indicate that it is no longer available for trade or and submit a blank wantlist.
Please give me your cell phone number using this form. Feel free to also send me a headshot so we know who to look for if you sleep in. I promise not to abuse your trust. This is totally optional but strongly encouraged.
I will clarify and make changes as needed. Thanks for your participation and good luck!
