Beat - January 1st - 1:15am

This represents a beating of all 5 Episodes

This game was incredible. It really shows that videogames can be more than just a kill'em up gun games, and can actually bring meaning and heart to the videogame medium. I almost finished this game to fit into my last years list, but alsa it will be my first game beaten of 2013. Not to shabby of a start to the year.

If it weren't for the glitchy frames, this game would be a masterpiece.

Rating : 9.5/10 (would be a perfect 10 if it werent for the glitches)

Stayed up late trying to beat the final surgery... and finally i did it. This game is great. it brought back the nes/snes feeling of difficulty and that rush of happiness when you finally beat that level after losing a bagillion times. I will most likley play the second ds game this year, but there are some other ds games ahead of it

great game

What can you say about a COD game. Wasnt anything special or that groundbreaking. I beat it in one afternoon. Wasnt that challenging. The story was confusing as it flip flopped between a father son timelines which messes up the overall timeline in your mind...
Doubt ill play the campaign again... as there will be a new COD game in under a year..

Defiantly one of the best wii games ever made. too bad it did terribly in sales and marketing otherwise nintendo might have gotten the rights to the sequel and not playstation.

end boss was one of the hardest i have ever beaten in recent memory. definatly worth another playthrough... in a few years

Man was that ending a bumpy ride. I finished this game on story mode, so it wasnt as challenging as probably the other 2 modes, however i did not play it for the fight mechanics. However i beat this on the Wii U so the addition of the gamepad still made the battles interesting. Adding the ability to position your teammates in good flanking positions on a map, as well as real time ability loadouts opposed to the other platforms enabling you to pause before using any abilities, made things muh better than the fighting remembered in Mass effect 2.

Overall i thought the missions were worse than the previous game. Most end up being waiting for extractions, or fetch quests. Also the format of trying to build military strength was interesting, but somehow fell flat, maybe because i didnt see the implications or even use them like in mass effect 2 in the last mission with your squad.

i felt the story was good, but it could have been better. i liked the 2nd game much better. next time ill play through the series on xbox with the same character

finally i played the series as a girl, and i feel commander Shepard is better suited to be done this way. many interactions just seem awkward as a guy. either that or he is always flirting with the girl npc's

O man. so much to say. Ni no Kuni was my first finished JRPG in at least a decade. I would have to rate/review this game as 2 separate entities;

1.the main story/content

2. post game/trophies content

1. the game was incredible! Level-5 studios has done it again, however this time in HD graphics for a consul title. It was a beautiful looking game and the story was pretty good too. I felt it was streamlined a little to much for my liking as the was way(and i mean way!!) to much chance involved. the fact that you cant increase your chance of taming specific familiars or stealing specific items is bad enough, but when you have to obtain them for specific quests and you have a 2-8% chance of succeeding not to mention a low chance of even finding the monster, it can make for a slogfest of boredom.

2.hated it. I finished the story portion at 39 hrs. it took me longer to collect all the trophies remaining than playing through the actual game!. And dam the alchemy quests! they took up probably 20 hours total. this post game play has inspired me to never play a JRPG game again... or at least not one that has trophies available to it as im ocd and need to finish them if provided

overall this was an awesome game. ignoring the postgame experience, it is one i recommend to every person who likes jrpg's or even rpgs. would play it through again... in 5-10 years

Apparently i stay up late only to play naruto games... Anyways like every game in this series, it is a few steps better than the previous one. However generations was a little duller than naruto games in the past due to the fact that they just reused jutsu clips and battle moment, making me feel like i was playing UNS2.

However the game was awesome. adding a substitution bar was a needed thing since the first naruto game. However what i will remember most about this game will be the crappy trophies to get.. wasted to much time on this game.. wont play it again like the ones before it, but this time only becasue the next one should be the same as this but slightly better... right?

This is a series i was really into in high school and then forgot about for about 10 years. Man has it brought me back. It is still the same old awesome but yet still getting better..

Awakening is a great mix of japanese story telling and rpg strategy gampplay. You really feel like a tactition playing this game. However i felt a little bit like a cheater as i beefed up one unit and used him as a tank through the last 9 missions as he defeated armies by himself..

Overall this was a great game and the first in a while that i started playing immediately after beating.

I love the starcraft story. this one is especially compelling for a few reasons. We get to see the depth of Kerigan's relationship with Jim Raynor and how far they will go for one another, even though the story is fairly predictable at times.
the biggest problem with the missions is they are too easy. ON the wings of liberty set, I was stuck on a few missions for weeks, however i blew through heart of the swarm in 5 days or so.

Overall was a great game and worth buying just for the missions. Some say cash grab? I say, Blizzard take all my money! Ill buy anything you release!

I love the Fire Emblem series. but going back and playing older ones is sometimes hard knowing all of the new advancements i have come to love and depend on dont exists yet.

Path of radiance is my second favorite game in the series however. On the hardest difficulty, it is still pretty easy. You can walk through the game with little chance of death, but it is still challenging. However my biggest problem with the game is the final 3 chapters. The spike in difficulty is so great that if you havnt trained your units fairly and some maxed out you have no Chance. For example while fighting the final boss, it took me 46 turns to defeat his final form, doing 9 damage a turn while H healed 6 automatically... Not to mention getting a game over because he love to target The healers.. I ended up soloing the chapter with IKE.

That brings me to the other gripe. If you don't choose the abilities properly and max out Ike, you have no chance on the final 3 missions.

overall it is a great game, a little lone for a FE game but still good.

I love this series. Dark moon is 10 years removed from the last game yet it doesn't seem to have missed a step.

I have a few complaints however. First the single analogue stick makes it difficult for catching ghosts and looking around quickly. Second is that the game feels very disjointed and clunky pace wise. In the first game, you work your way through a single mansion. Although Dark moon is much longer, it is split up into missions, taking away the free roam and removing a whole aspect that is loved in the series. Overall this is a great game and hope the next one comes sooner.

Most who know me know i absolutely loved the first game in the series. After playing through the first 3 cases in Justice for all, I was begging to become disappointed with the game, the cases seemed to have to flow to them, they were a little too outlandish, and overall not that complex. However upon finishing the final case, it has all but redeemed the entire game. The last case is worth the 20/30 bucks to pick up this gem. It astounds me the ingenuity that goes into making these types of games. The stories are so well crafted and flow perfectly. I love the fact that there is multiple endings as well. Im just glad it is only 2. I am really looking forward to the Edgeworth game most of all! He was developed so well.

Late night boss battles! Skyward Sword took me longer to beat than anticipated. 50 hrs, but i guess it has been a while since beating a Zelda game.

Overall I thought the game was good. I was most impressed with the character designs and the dungeon layouts. The motion control added new elements to the experience, but overall id prefer my Zelda game without it.

Big boss battles were epic and awesome. But what i HATED about the game was the flying! o man it took so long and was so boring. And how can I forget annoying Fi.

Pretty good game, but still falls as my least favorite Zelda game

Some games that i play are simply to pass some time while i sit waiting in lines ect. This was one of them. I have slowly been chipping away at this game's levels for over a year now and finally finished it.

Mass attack is by no means one of Kirby's better games, but it is entertaining and unlike most other games on the DS or 3DS. I would only recommend it to those who like kirby games and/or are looking for a different type of action game, otherwise it might be a hit for most other people

This is a port of one of my childhood favorite games. Due to me already have played the heck out of the original every saturday growing up, i blew through this game.

That said the updated graphics, and new levels were welcomed! Overall time has not aged this game terribly and i still had fun and was still really challenging (True Arena).

I am usually more fond of the top down Zelda games in comparison to the longer, 3d ones for consuls, But minish cap just didnt do it for me. Overall, it was a decent Zelda title, but there were a few things that killed it for me. The biggest being this Kinstone mechanic. It seemed you had to find one kinstone for ever NPC human, cat, dog, minish and chicken in this game. Basically anything alive you had to find its stone somewhere. Then after that go and find the new secret that is triggered after you fuse stones with them. I felt it was just a cheap way of extending the gameplay...

Also this felt more like a a mishmash of other recent popular title, trying to do fan service rather than create its own identity amongst other Zelda title. First off you are plunked right in the ocarina of time world, seeing all the same characters and they are all doing the same things but now in 2d, you are given a orcarina (of wind) that when used makes the same sound as the whistle from Mario Bros 3, and many more nods to zelda games.

At the end of the day im not disappointed with the game, i just wish there was more originality to set it apart other than being able to shrink down for puzzles and have a talking hat

By far the weakest kirby game. It basic new mechanic had alot of promise. Being able to save abilities. But that was as good as it gets. It would be pretty cool if you could have mixed them, switched in and out or something like that.. but nope nothing cool like that.

Another reason this game stunk was the abilites. Now thet are mostly all repeats aside from some new ones, but they didnt have all the functions that they would have in any other game. Heck the SNES Kirby Superstar had more functions for each ability and it came out 10 years before.

A weak game with a weak ending. Probably wont get a revisit from me again.

IMO, Marvel bests DC in almost every area, boardgames, movies, comics (super biased on that one) and i could go on forever on specifics, however it seems anything batman is pure Gold. Batman Arkham City is a great story, great immersion into Batman Lore, and a great game.

The only thing i didnt like about the game was the length. I dont remember the Asylum being as short as this. It is neat in how a sequel like this doesn't really feel all that different, yet it still felt like a much better game. The fluidity of the fights down to the gliding through Arkham City was sweet. Finally, im so glad they got rid of the annoying platforming puzzles that you could get lost in for hours because you have to go up and down 50 floors of a abandoned sewer..

Overall a sweet game. I should mention i played this through on the WII U and the new additions were awesome; from being able to remotely set off bat gel on the touch screen, control the baterangs with motion, or simply the bat computer interface on the secondary screen, i felt it was much better than the ps3 version i played for a while.

Man what a ride. This game being beat was a long time coming. I have been chipping away at it for a year. I dont do well with dark, creepy games, and to pile on have an irrational fear of underwater stuff, even in games, so this game was not only a test of skill, but mental endurance for me.

After getting accustom to the creep factor, I finally began to see what all the hype around this game was about. Bioshock is truly a masterpiece and hans down the best FPS game in its genre, ever. It doesn't rank high on my favorite games, but i did like it alot.

I have heard negative things about the sequel but i plan to play though it before Infinite... Ill probably take a break from Bioshock though and play some lighter puzzle games for a bit

Great game. Any game that follows the diablo loot and level up system gets a play for me. But any game with great dialog and hilarious characters and story lines gets a big thumb up for me!

I did have a few complaints about the game. I played through doing all side quests when given, and felt i was over leveled for most of the game.. However where the problem is, is when i got to chapter 17, i was mowing things down with little difficulty. But as soon as i got the chapter 18 (last chapter) i was being one shot'ed by everything that moved. The difficulty ramped up way to high.

I found the final boss to be pretty east but that may be because I had a launcher that did 30,000 damage when the average weapon i found did 450ish...

all in all a great game. I didnt get all the trophies in this one as i dont want to invest another 50 hrs for 2 trophies...

Best game ever! Seriously this may be the best, at least, story in any game i have every played. Possibly across all mediums. It is a masterpiece in human ingenuity. The was the designers crafted the story to weave together all right up until the final moments was beyond perfection. O did I mention it was about time travel too? f dimensions of awesomeness!!

So much can be said about the game, I personally dont care for the escape portion of the game, but luckily that is only about 1/20th of the game.

If you own a 3ds buy this game... Well buy 999, play that, then play this one!!!

Im still amazed that Atulus is able to weave a story into this essentially minigame operations.

In comparison with the first, this game was a disappointment. Many of the operations were duplicated form the first game, a few more strains for GUILT, but overall nothing that was new and cool. Overall this simply felt like a quickly thrown together game, both in game play and story and i wish they made a new story instead of carrying on with the GUILT which was supposed to be eradicated..

overall still a fun, quick game.

Hands down the best game of the Seventh generation. Also i would say best game ever, in terms of narrative. As for graphics, there may be a better graphical representation out their, but i havnt played it. The best cinematic scenes for amy other seventh generation games look as good as the normal Gameplay from "the last of us".

Spoilers aside, this game blew me away. The game mechanics werent what made it awesome, but they werent bad either. It was the way the game immersed you into the story, which made for really emotional scenes and mind blowing choices that if you sat down to rationalize you would think, "i would never do that" but while you are playing you are so caught up in the games atmosphere that you had no hesitation to pull that trigger or save that person because you were fuled by the emotions the game was trying to instill.

Overall this game may go down as being in my top 10 games of all time... Crazy i know, but it was just that good! Please be a sequel!

Of all the marvel super hero games, this may be the best. Now game play wise it may not match up to the xmen legends/ultimate alliance series, however where this game shines is in the story.

As a reader of Deadpool comics for years, this game felt exactly like a dadpool comic book, one that you sort of controlled! However this isnt that surprising as Daniel Way wrote the script for the game and he was the author of deadpool for like 5 years.

The game was hilarious, challenging and thematic. It was fairly dirty humor at times, but that is part of deadpool's charm.

Overall a pretty good game! one i wont crack open again for a long while but defiantly a keeper!
