I guess listing it as I have above is kind of deceptive though, as I also bought a couple of copies of The Sims Medieval that I gave away, and was at the same time fortunate enough to win and/or be gifted quite a few new games.
EDIT: Okay, so in the closing hours I got a little less restrained, and I now own Dark Souls as well. That's it, I swear!
I bought very few games for myself in the steam sale... mostly because I have such a backlog of games I figured even the ones I was interested in would go on sale again before I'd have chance to play them. I did pick up two games... one of which was part of a 4-pack because a mate really wanted it
I regret Dead Island because I have it on Xbox and realistically no one to play with on the PC, but at $7 for the game and DLC it looked like a good deal. Street Fighter struck a chord of nostalgia and I pulled the trigger but will probably not play more than a couple hours single player. I might regret Endless Space since I have Sins of a Solar Empire sitting unplayed, I'm a little worried about overlap.
So far, Chivalry is easily the biggest hit. I have played FTL for 8 hours so far and beaten Hotline: Miami as well. I got peer pressured into Ace of Spades so it should be fun playing with 4-5 friends. Doom and Max Payne were pure nostalgia buys but are also awesome games anyway. I'm actually looking forward to playing most of my list which is nice.
Now, you're probably looking at this list and thinking I play a lot. I don't. I've lucked into a bunch of time recently but most of this list will end up in the dreaded backlog, with a few games probably never getting played. I just have poor impulse control!
