This game has a zombie apocalypse scenario. We controlled 14 star fleet marines who were the last uninflected survivors and had to survive for 20 turns. We started with 28 zombies on the outskirts of the map. We chose to defend to hills close to an edge with a wooded area between us. Our shooting was terrible. On top of that every time a zombie is killed a new one is attracted and the new ones kept showing up near my brother's hill. He was getting overran, and chose to retreat back to my posistion. Our timing was bad because as he got to me a horde approached from the other side. Our shooting failed to punch a hole and we found ourselves surrounded. We managed to break through a few units, but the others did not make it. On turn 15 we fell below the six needed units to win.
My brother is an avid thinkgeek shopper, and this game recently showed up on the site. In this game the goal is to build the craziest weapon. The game ends with an endgame card, that is either national guard or zombie horde. If it is national guard then the weakest weapon wins. If it is the zombies then the biggest weapon wins. My brother one when the zombies came and he had a tricked out shotgun attached to a nail gun.
We ended zombie day by watching Detention of the Dead, because it was a free rental on the Xbox today (even Microsoft new it was zombie day!). It was a typical low budget zombie movie, and it was another great zombie day.
