Corner games are those games that get you so frustrated, you end up throwing them into a corner, never to think about them again. They can be great games, or just really bad games, but they just tested your last nerve.
I am a Star Trek fan (well, except for Enterprise... I don't consider that true Star Trek), and have enjoyed other games based on Star Trek. This one left me sour. Specificly, the Voyager levels where you have to beat the Kaizon ship while flying a very specific course. It took me twenty tries until I beat the first part, only to find that 1) There was more dumb racing to go, and 2) there was no save point, so if you did not make it on the second part, you ended up at the beginning of the first part.
I think the whole house heard the case when it hit the corner.
This actually was not all that bad. The problem I had with it is that I'm not the best at these types of games.
This game ended up as a corner game because of the Rhino level. I really had issues trying to defeat Rhino. I often ended up crunched under his feet. So, you can imagine how thrilled I was when I actually was about to clear the level, beating the Rhino until he was defeated.
And you can imagine how frustrated I was when the game glitched right at that vital moment, resetting the game and sending me right back to the beginning. I never played the game again after that.
