CastleCon 2014 (Oshawa, ON, CAN): Virtual Flea Market
CastleCon IV will be running it's first ever Virtual Flea Market this year!
What is a Virtual Flea Market?
A Virtual Flea Market is a pre-organized game sale, run through this BGG GeekList. Since everything can be arranged in advance, very little on-site time is required, giving everyone more gaming time!
Who can participate?
CastleCon attendees are welcome to post items that they are interested in selling. The convention is sold out, so if you don't already have a ticket, you may not post items. Some sellers are willing to make other arrangements if you cannot attend this convention, so check the individual listings for more details!
Please read through this entire post before participating in this VFM!

Posting an Item
Boardgames, boardgame related items, Video Games, RPG items, and non-gaming items are all permitted. There is no limit to the number of entries each person can have.
Non-game entries must be added as "Outside the Scope of BGG", "Miscellaneous Game Merchandise" or "Miscellaneous Game Accessory".
Alternate names must be used if you are including an expansion or sweetener to ensure your item shows up properly in summary lists. To do this, include the following text in your description: "+altname+ Whatever You Want Your Item to be Called. Like: Pandemic + On the Brink -altname-".
Condition of the item must be described as accurately as possible. Game descriptions should include the condition of the box, the language and edition of the game, and if any components are missing and/or damaged. If it is not otherwise specified, the item must be complete, in like-new condition and be the most recent English edition.
Sellers must indicate in their post which of the following formats they will be using for that item. If not specified, it is assumed to be an auction with no reserve.
Auction: Initial bid may be any amount. Future bids must be higher than the previous bid. Item will be sold to the highest bidder at the end of the auction.
Reserve Auction: Seller specifies a minimum sale price. Initial bid must be equal or higher than this minimum. Future bids must be higher than the previous bid. Item will be sold to the highest bidder at the end of the auction.
Buy It Now: Seller specifies a price. The item will be sold to the first person to offer that price.
Prices for the Reserve Auction or Buy It Now options must be clearly displayed using a $ immediately followed by numbers to be displayed in the summary list. For example, "$25" "
$30$25" or "Reserve $25 / BIN $35" will all appear as $25 in the summary.
Only CastleCon attendees may post items, so all items can be exchanged in person at CastleCon. If you are willing to make other arrangements, by shipping games or meeting before the convention, allowing people who aren't able to attend CastleCon to bid, please include that in your post.
The summary list will automatically update once an hour, so items will not be immediately visible.
During the Auction
Edits must be clearly identified by striking out the replaced text or explaining the change with an "Edit:" note at the bottom of the post. Any bids made prior to the most recent edit may be withdrawn by the bidder.
Sellers are required to periodically check their entries for comments and respond to them appropriately.
When an item is sold, the post must be edited to include "SOLD" in the description. This is how the summary list detects whether your item should be included so please do this as promptly as possible.
If you are not able to attend CastleCon, you may only bid if the post specifically says that shipping or local arrangements before the convention can be arranged.
Prices and bids must be in whole dollar amounts.
The Summary List of Unsold Games is a great resource for buyers to see a summary of the games still unsold. A special thanks to Steve Duff (Unknown Parker Brother) who has put together this list based on code from Ron Parker (parkrrrr)! Thanks Steve (and Ron)!
End of the Auction
This auction will run until the evening of September 29th. I will be getting home sometime between 7:00 and 9:00 pm that evening. To avoid sniping, any item that hasn't received a bid within an hour will be closed at that time. All other items will be closed whenever an hour passes without an additional bid.
Per BGG Guidelines, it is the seller's responsibility to process final sales through the BGG Marketplace to ensure BGG receives it's 3% commission.
Payment can be in cash when you make the exchange or through PayPal if the buyer and seller agree.
Participants are welcome to make their own arrangements for making the swap before or during the convention. If you have not found each other by Sunday October 18, 2014 at 12:00 noon, come to the dedicated space in the convention hall at CastleCon.
Questions, Comments or Concerns
Anyone who disregards these rules, or behaves disrespectfully, will have their items and comments deleted.
Please post in the discussion thread if you have any questions or comments. If you have any concerns about a particular item or situation, please send me a Geekmail message on BGG.
Have fun and good luck!
