Nart's BGG Weightloss Challenge Diary
BGG Weight Loss Challenge and I felt that I would probably stick to it better if I made my journey public.
I've always been overweight, but my weight generally stays fairly stable. Unfortunately, that is normally somewhere in the obese range. I do a fair amount of exercise, but I also eat a fair amount of cake to make up for those calories lost through exercise.
I completed Tough Mudder last October and signed up again for it this year, but my goal is to be somewhat lighter than I was last year so that I don't feel so embarrassed when people have to heave me over the obstacles.
I'm 5'8" and weighed about 14 st (196 lbs) last autumn. I've weighed myself over the last week and I'm now 14 st 11 lbs - too many cakes over the winter!
I may get off to a rocky start with this challenge as my sister's wedding party is over the Easter weekend. I will try not to eat too much cake.
My resolutions for this challenge are:
Log everything I eat in MyFitnessPal, even if it makes me go over my calorie target.
Cycle to work 4 days a week.
Start running once a week - I need to be able to run 12 miles by September.
Wear my WiiFit meter whenever possible and try to increase my daily step count.
