Weight loss challenge March to May darkestoceans
8 weeks ago I arrived through an extensive schedule of swimming laps and mountain biking at 207 lbs for my low. I started out at 235 lbs.
So I went to a place called Blankets Creek around that time to find out if I could learn how to do steeper mountain bike jumps. I fell off like you all knew I would. I probably tore my rotator cuff in my right shoulder.
It has healed now, I think. Actually I have not even tried swimming laps since that happened. I have done some mountain biking but it takes half of a day to go bike and I can only go on dry enough days. It takes only about 1.5 hours or less to swim enough to lose weight. I go to the Y, and for a light day that includes drive time. 2 hours for a medium day. 2.5 hours including drive time for the 4000 yard sort of deal. My best time was a 25 minute 1650 yards which includes wall pushoffs and flip turns.
So today to celebrate I went to a place I like to go to called CiCi's Pizza. There I achieved my 222 lb starting weight today.
I do use food to feel better emotionally sometimes. But I really enjoyed watching The Biggest Loser. I like games. I think I want to try to play this like a game. I guess I may do it. I am still trying to decide if I want to play a round of this.
I am half not doing it just for health. I am tossing around the idea if it might be a fun challenge.
I don't know yet. Time will tell. I will really have to cut down my fat intake which means no butter probably, minimal olive oil and coconut oil, and little to no cheese. I am vegetarian. I need to keep the low sugar low honey rule too.
I should get up and swim tonight. I will have to set an alarm. Goodnight. I am a night shift nurse.
I will post weights here and strategies whenever I feel like it. I will also back up the start and end weight with a picture taken by my wife of me weighing, particularly if I am somewhat successful.
