So, the crazy dwarf wants to hear about AAA games, does he? I hope this Geeklist will do. In it, I will list the AAA games I have for my new Xbox One with brief thoughts on gameplay so far, as well as AAA games I want to get. Without further ado...this list!

You don't get much more AAA in fantasy geekery than Tolkien's Middle Earth. It's funny, because when they first announced/released this game, I went mouth-frothing fanboy crazy over the plot of the game and how it doesn't fit in with the atmosphere of the world.

Then I bought my XBOne, and this game, and changed my mind. When I am playing this game, I FEEL like I'm a Ranger of the North, and one who isn't just an Aragorn clone, no less!

From hunting down Golem and cajoling him for assistance to watching the in-fighting among the orc clans, this is definitely the Middle Earth I know and love.

And what of the one thing that made me cringe when first reading about the game, the reventant/wraith thing? In-game story, it feels very authentic. When brushing over it in a game preview, it sounded bad. It wasn't.

The mechanics of the game were easy to grasp, but gradually got harder to master as orcs who beat the crap out of me grew higher in rank (and one jerk is so high level now that I run screaming everytime I see him pop up somewhere).

All in all, SO glad I let my "Must play all Middle Earth games" fanboy side win out over the "this doesn't sound like Middle Earth at all, you heathens!" fanboy side.

I love Alien. A lot. It is, to this day, one of my all-time favorite (if not ACTUAL favorite) horror movies. When I heard about this game, I told MistressGeek that I would need to get a XBOne just to play this.

I finally had an opportunity to download it when it was on XBox Deals with Gold. I haven't encountered the alien yet, but I still can't play it for more than 20 minutes at a time without nearly pooping myself at every steampipe rattle.

Also, everyone else on the station so far is a total jerkface. Apparently, in space no one can hear you act like a schmuck.

I suck at FPS games. I mean SUCK at them. I'd heard good things and bad things about this game and downloaded it when it was on sale on a whim.

I am SO addicted to Destiny, it's insane. I did some of the Crucibles early-ish on and (predictably) got my butt handed to me. Badly. I haven't tried another one yet. I also grouped with two random people for a strike which bombed when one of the guys dropped out at a boss and the other guy just stood hiding in a corner not doing anything. I haven't done any MP strikes since then, either.

But the stuff I can do single player I am LOVING. This is the first FPS since the original Halo that I feel like I can put a bunch of time into and actually want to try MP on again.

I know there was some recent controversy in an interview done with a designer about microtransactions and having to buy the original game to get the deluxe edition of the expansion. I don't know much about that, except that I expect they will allow the add-ons from the deluxe edition to eventually be purchased via microtransaction (and it's just dances or emotes or something anyway), so I don't really care. Give me more Destiny, baby!

I had this game on my 360. After getting my XBOne, I downloaded it for that. I played the first DA, skipped the second due to all the negative comments I heard from everyone I know, and came back for this game.

I love it! The War Room is an awesome feature, and the cut scene that happens early-ish on in the game (don't want to spoiler it for anyone, but it's pretty much the big transition early game) made me forget I wasn't watching some epic fantasy movie. The music and speech and just the whole scene gave me chills.

If you like the original Dragon Age, I highly recommend this. It feels like that, PLUS some awesome additions.
