1Background:

My weight has been in flux most of my adult life. This is the third time I've signed up for Weight Watchers. I have previously lost 30lbs then 35lbs then 40lbs on the plan, but have always gained back what I've lost, plus a few pounds. I obviously haven't done a good job at staying on track once I no longer feel like I need to lose weight. I need to do a better job of making lifestyle changes.

I travel a ton for work and by a ton I mean 80% of my Monday through Friday work weeks are spent sleeping in hotel rooms and eating out. There are also some weeks on the road I end up working 50-60 hours. I've found that the gym equipment at most of the hotels isn't serviced properly and can be kinda rickety. These are my primary excuses for eating nothing but crap and not exercising.

While I've been able to lose the weight in the past, I'm hoping posting here will help me hold myself accountable. I tend to give up if I have even a minor slip up which is part of the reason I need to stick to a strict diet program like Weight Watchers.

2Goals:

mintcamelGet my eating habits in check and have it carry through to when I am no longer trying to lose weight.

mintcamel Work out, at all. I've been pretty docile other than subbing on my bocce team, which most people play with a beer in their hand so I don't think counts as a work out My goal is to hit the gym 3 times a week.

mintcamel Drink more water and less of the other junk. Time to start cutting back on the diet soda a bit and definitely the amount of beer I drink. What can I say, I love my microbrews.

3 Pre-Challege Prep:

Thoughts: I honestly have no idea how I lost almost 4lbs this week. I didn't get to the gym and I ended up eating a bit more than I intended on Christmas Eve. I think I'll attribute the weight loss to holiday stress. whistle

Game Choice: Having a blast playing with my husband. We just completed July and have so far only lost once.

Goals for the Week:

orangecamel Lose at least 1lb this week. I have a feeling the weight loss is going to start slowing down now that I've been on a diet for a bit.

orangecamel Finally get to the stupid gym. This week I made plans to take a Zumba class with a friend so I'll have to go at least once.

Thoughts:

I was surpised to lose weight again this week since I wasn't as good as I had wanted to be on New Year's Eve. I really need to get in a real gym routine so that I make myself go. I'm hoping I like Zumba so that I'll at least go to that class once a week.
I've also been home for the last couple weeks, which is really rare for my job. This is the longest span of time I've been home for 5 years. I know it'll get harder when I'm eating all of my meals out and staying in a hotel.

I've been very bad about posting to this geek list. I just got back from a two week ski trip in Italy and managed to maintain weight, but haven't had the opportunity to weigh in the last two Monday's.

I skied a bunch, but I also drank and ate a ton so I'm grateful for no weight gain. Now that I'm home, I've gone to the gym twice this week and plan on at least going again on Saturday. Gotta get back in my routine!

Game choice: Just acquired this in a math trade. Excited to get this to the table. Haven't had much chance to game with vacation and school starting.

I am so close to the 6%! I just need to lose and keep off 0.3 lbs. I can't believe I lost another 3 lbs. The last two weeks I've been skiing and going to the gym three days a week and sticking to my WW diet. I'm going to keep on this regime and hope it continues to work for me.
