RPC Fantasy Award (2010 - ff.)
This geeklist covers the results of the awards handed out at the large annual game fair Role-Play Convention (RPC) in Germany, a convention for all sorts of fantasy and gaming. The RPC Fantasy Awards combine public voting on the internet with jury picks. The jury seems to consist of members of the editorial board of the gaming magazine Games Orbit on the one hand, and organizers of the convention on the other, but I'm not certain about that.Recommend
There are several award categories (with some changes over the years), with a strong focus on various gaming media: Board games, miniatures gaming (in Germany often referred to as "Tabletop"), pen & paper rpgs, digital games. Literature (novels etc.) and comics have repeatedly been featured, too. For this geeklist, I've focused on the game-related titles, but at least the summary entries for each year list the complete slate, including literature, comic books, larp accessories etc.
It is not clear to me how the list of nominees comes into existence (jury decision?), but after that there's a public voting (online), yielding gold, silver, and bronze winners. Apart from that, there's a "jury award" category and another category "Most Promising Product" which basically appears to be a jury award for upcoming (not yet released) products. Some winners of the "most promising product" title have later returned to win in one of the specific categories.

There's another geeklist, maintained by Gigant (João Ventura) focused on the RPG-related winners (gold = 1st place) of this award: RPC Fantasy Award winners (RPG)
