Powers:Coleridge:Milton: Faith...must be, if anything, a clear-eyed recognition of the patterns and tendencies, to be found in every piece of the world's fabric, which are the lineaments of God.
That's Tim Powers' fictional Samuel Coleridge "quoting" John Milton in _The Anubis Gates_.

 Thumb up
You've found the 306th installment of the Phoenix Game Chat League. Welcome to all that stop by! Please feel free to thumb the list so that we know you're there.

If you're not a regular, and the notion of a Geek|Game Chat League seems peculiar or unfamiliar, please check out the wiki page.

As usual, members are encouraged to add an item to the list. And non-members are welcome to contribute (though please leave the item-adding to the regulars.) Roster members I've seen in the last few weeks include:
darker, Eeeville, familygaming, hawk-x-, indigopotter, karlfast, Lowengrin, ravenskana, rynelf, Smintie, Taibi, Tigrillo, tjshields, and woodnoggin.
†: next week's organizer. And while I'd be delighted if all of you showed up this week, no worries at all if life gets in the way.

(We also celebrate the historic contributions (and occasional present visits: you all are always welcome to add an item) of archivists, BennyD, Bruzza, chally, Dormammu, enzo622, Hawkeye77, JohnRayJr, judoka, leroy43, Morganza, Mr_Nuts, topherr and Yokiboy. I'd also be delighted if any of you felt like showing up!)

Looks like this is the week of BGG.com. And I'd much rather talk about that (even if I am, again, not going) than anything that happened last week.

How many of you are planning to attend? Have you already planned out your time with scheduled games, or are you going to take your chances in the Hot Games Room? Are there any (unofficial) events outside the convention you're planning to support? And, perhaps more on point for a Phoenix list, what things would you want to play if you were able to attend?

If you're a lurker that might be interested in joining us, please let us know. Indigo (Carol) is our Glorious Leader: sending her a geek-mail would be most efficient - but if you'd be more comfortable geek-mailing me, please go ahead (though, frankly, she seems a lot more friendly/approachable than I am. YMMV, I guess.)
