I will use this geeklist to keep track of games played in 2018, along with making comments, posting gameplay reports and pics, etc. I will be including board games, RPGs, video games, and also jigsaw puzzles (all completed jigsaw puzzles with pics in one entry for this year) in this list.

Every time I complete a play, I will add a to the top of the game entry on this geeklist. Also, I am listing each play of a particular game with a number, counting up: d10-1, d10-2, d10-3, and so on. Neither the stars or the numerals denote any rating or judgment of the game.

There is a fairly good chance that I will forget to record some plays, or just get tired of doing it and stop (like I did halfway through 2017).

NOTE: The first entry is for jigsaw puzzles completed, listed by the month in which they were built.
The following entries will be for boardgames and pencil and paper RPGs, in alphabetical order.
Then I will list entries for video/computer games played, in alphabetical order by the game title (some games have no VGG entry, so check the bold text for the game title.

Here are links to my geeklists from the past few years:

Note that the listed piece count may not be accurate because what is printed on the box is often rounded off to the nearest 50 or 100.

JANUARY:

d10-1 Rain on the Avenue - Saalfield Publishing - (4 pieces missing)

This old puzzle was frustrating in many ways. It's been the most difficult puzzle I have done so far, and not just because of the image and the piece shapes and count.

I knew that it had one edge piece missing (but not four missing pieces!) before I started it because there was a note included. There was also a broken piece (both fragments were present) and several of the other pieces had some peeling up of the image surface.

The first problem was that the box cover not only had some of the image obscured, but much worse, the actual puzzle image edges started far into all four sides of the cover image (meaning that a good portion of the cover image wasn't represented in the puzzle itself). Since I didn't realize this right away, putting together the borders of the puzzle, while trying to use the sides of the box cover image as a reference, was quite frustrating!

I also found the image and cut of the puzzle to be very tricky, and I had to be quite careful because of the fragility of the old pieces. But the biggest disappointment was finding that a total of 4 pieces were missing.

Still, I really like the image and the puzzle was interesting enough (I won't say "fun") that I was determined to finish it!

d10-2 Fancy Flower Shop - Cobble Hill (275 pieces)

I enjoyed the odd-shaped pieces and the colors (which my photo doesn't show to their full effect and brightness) in this puzzle. The pieces, despite some puzzle dust, are of a decent quality, fit together well, and have a textured, matte finish.

It was a nice, quick, relaxing one after the Rain on the Avenue puzzle which I had finished just before, and was just tricky enough to be interesting.
From gallery of Jude

d10-3 Retro Comic Books - Hennessy (1000 pieces)

I enjoyed building this puzzle, and not only because of the theme.
From gallery of Jude

d10-4 The Old Mill - Jiggety Jig - Harter 1932 (200+ pieces)

This beauty is in remarkably good condition given its age (about 86 years old)! Many of the piece-sides didn't have knobs nor holes and it was tricky trying to figure out which pieces were edge pieces (and also to be careful not to bump the puzzle or it would come apart).
From gallery of Jude

I enjoyed building it quite a lot despite the box not having a cover pic to use as a reference.
From gallery of Jude

It's a keeper which I plan to build again in the future.

d10-5 Elephant - shaped puzzle - Paper House (370 pieces)

Fun enough.
From gallery of Jude

FEBRUARY:

d10-6 Dragon's Lair - Cobble Hill (1000 pieces)

This puzzle took me almost two weeks to complete. I enjoyed building it, and I love the image. But it was pretty tricky in some places, and I found the dark areas to be difficult despite the variation in piece shapes.
From gallery of Jude

d10-7 Strong Interference - Tuco (60 pieces)

This old, small puzzle has an amusing image, and the pieces were very thick and of good quality.

From gallery of Jude

d10-8 A Rural Setting - Whitman Guild (304 pieces)

This old Whitman puzzle is a good one. I enjoyed building it with the odd-shaped pieces. It was also tricky because many of the colors of the painting were used throughout the image.

From gallery of Jude

d10-9 Prehistoric Waterfall - Melissa & Doug (200 pieces)

Another dinosaur puzzle.

From gallery of Jude

MARCH:

d10-1d10-0 Pont Neuf, Paris, France - spiral cut - online TheJigsawPuzzles.com (250 pieces)

This was an online puzzle. I set it for the maximum piece count and a spiral cut for the pieces. Pretty good puzzle, but it made me miss Paris.

From gallery of Jude

d10-1d10-1 2010 National Stearman Fly-In - online TheJigsawPuzzles.com (100 pieces)

I'm a big fan of bi-planes, but the most I could set this puzzle to was 100 pieces. Still, fun enough.

From gallery of Jude

Note: The reason I took a screenshot of the online puzzles with one piece remaining is that when I place the last piece the image changes to the reference image, and I wanted the piece cut to be visible in my pics.

d10-1d10-2 Two Friends - Whitman Guild (304 pieces)

The pieces of this old puzzle have some wear and it appears as though the puzzle has been built many times over the decades. I enjoyed building it, especially because of the unusual piece cuts.

From gallery of Jude

d10-1d10-3 Harbor Lights - Buffalo Games (750 pieces)

This puzzle has a lot of small details, many of which I didn't notice until I was building it. I like the colors and the image, and enjoyed the time I spent on it.

From gallery of Jude

d10-1d10-4 Dragon Rider - Ravensburger (100 pieces)

The pieces were much larger than I expected even though the box said 100 XXL. I like the image but wish the puzzle had been cut with a higher piece count.

From gallery of Jude

d10-1d10-5 A Rainbow - Jigsaws Galore Free APP (252 pieces)

This was built on my Mac using a free app called Jigsaws Galore. It comes with quite a few puzzles (and there are more free downloads on the website, plus packs that can be purchased), and the piece count, shapes, and other options can be chosen by the player before starting to build.

Notice the whimsy shapes in the piece cuts - one of the options I chose.

If anyone wonders why I took so long, it's because I build puzzles to relax (and also often half-watch TV while building).

From gallery of Jude

d10-1d10-6 Overcast at Fortrose - Jigsaws Galore Free APP (252 pieces)

Another puzzle built on my Mac.

From gallery of Jude

d10-1d10-7 Disney Dreams - The Jungle Book - Puzzle #4 (Only) - Thomas Kinkade - Ceaco 4 in 1 Puzzle Set (500 pieces)

I almost quit building this puzzle several times and by the time I completed it, I detested it! There was no big reason, but instead, several reasons that added up to make it an irritating experience. Too bad because I had been looking forward to building it. This puzzle was part of a 4-puzzle multi-pack, and I am now reluctant to build the other 3 puzzles... (and the cover pics are too small and not of a good resolution for reference images, either).

From gallery of Jude

d10-1d10-8 Crash - Cobble Hill (500 pieces)

I enjoyed building this puzzle. The image, colors, and piece cuts were all fun. Also, the surface had a texture that greatly reduced glare. The only complaints I have are that I don't like the title, "Crash", and that some of the pieces came slightly damaged (it was bought new). It's a keeper.

From gallery of Jude

APRIL:

d10-1d10-9 1930 Keepsakes - Kodacolor Generations 2003 - Warren (750 pieces)

Most of this puzzle was much easier than I expected it to be, but the dark areas gave me some trouble. Still, it was an enjoyable build.

Sorry about the glare on some of the piece edges.

From gallery of Jude

d10-2d10-0 Spring Special Delivery - Bits and Pieces (500 pieces)

This puzzle was appropriate for the strange weather shifts we've been having here lately! There is a layer of snow on the ground as I type this in mid-April.

It was a bit cutesy, but I like the colors and all the animals and flowers, and found it to be fun to build.

From gallery of Jude

d10-2d10-1 Tyrannosaurus Rex - Dinosaurs - Golden - Western Publishing (200 pieces)

Fun old dinosaur puzzle, and surprisingly challenging for 200 pieces.

From gallery of Jude

d10-2d10-2 Bam Pow Zap - comic books puzzle - Nordevco 1981 (500 pieces)

Two pieces missing.

It's too bad, I was greatly enjoying building this puzzle, and had planned to keep it and build it again in the future.

From gallery of Jude

d10-2d10-3 Agneathea and The Greek Vase - Ivory Cats - Ceaco (300 pieces)

Nice relaxing puzzle.

From gallery of Jude

MAY:

d10-2d10-4 County Express - Lafayette Puzzle Factory (500 pieces)

County Express was a pretty good puzzle with many different areas needing different puzzling skills to complete because of the line and color patterns, better than I expected it to be once I realized that there wasn't a great deal of piece shape variety. I'm not sure if it's a keeper, but I enjoyed building it.

From gallery of Jude

d10-2d10-5 Disney Together Time (Donald Duck, Goofy, and Mickey Mouse) - Ceaco (400 pieces)

The puzzle is a bit harder than it looks. There is an interesting piece cut to it: The pieces on the left are very large and the pieces get gradually smaller moving towards the right side. So, kids or people with limited dexterity or vision can work on the left side, while people wanting more of a challenge (or who build faster, since there are more, but smaller pieces there) can build from the left.

The back of the box has an image which shows the actual piece cuts, which I am not using, but I can see how it would be helpful if you got really stuck.

One thing really bothers me about the image, though: you can't see the characters' opposite legs (except for a faint "ghost" of Donald Duck's other leg, and the toe tips of the other characters' shoes)!

From gallery of Jude

d10-2d10-6 Dinosaurs - Coming to Life - Schmidt (1000 pieces)

I enjoyed building this one quite a lot. It's a wonderful image! Although it was often tricky, it was never too difficult. It's a keeper.

From gallery of Jude

d10-2d10-7 Paradise Cove - Castorland (300 pieces)

It was a pleasant, relaxing puzzle, with a similar image similar to the one I built last September from one of the Ceaco Seaside multi-packs. I wish that the quality of the pieces was better. The colors and sharpness were good, but the pieces were somewhat thin and the surface color was slightly chipped from the edges of a few of the pieces. This type of mixed quality seems to be the norm for Castorland puzzles, but they do have fun and interesting subject matter.

From gallery of Jude

d10-2d10-8 St-Tropez - Jigsaws Galore Free APP (247 pieces)

On my Mac, using the free Jigsaws Galore App. This puzzle was from a free expansion pack for the app. The paintings within the image made it fun to build.

From gallery of Jude

JUNE:

d10-2d10-9 The Fabulous Fantastic Four - Whitman Guild 1976 (200 pieces)

From gallery of Jude

d10-3d10-0 Wonder Woman - Two Sided Puzzle - Aquarius (600 pieces)

I was enjoying building this tricky puzzle until it became apparent that there were pieces missing... and it was bought new and sealed. I contacted Aquarius customer service via email and got a reply that they would send me a replacement, which is good because this puzzle is worth building again.

From gallery of Jude

d10-3d10-1 Champs Elysées - Whitman Guild (304 pieces)

This old puzzle (there is a penciled note on the back from "Xmas 1961" ) was rather tricky and the color of the puzzle didn't match the box cover very well (the saturation of the blues has either faded over time or didn't match the cover to start with). But I enjoyed building it quite a lot. I like the old Whitman Guild 304 piece puzzles.

From gallery of Jude

d10-3d10-2 Good Nabor Stores - Springbok (500 pieces)

There are a lot of little details in this puzzle, which was fun to build. I particularly liked the pinball machine and the old record player. The image on the puzzle pieces wasn't quite as sharp as the box cover image, which was a bit of a disappointment, but overall, I found it to be a good puzzle.

From gallery of Jude

d10-3d10-3 Vintage Baseball - Springbok (1000 pieces) - completed

I've always loved baseball, playing it, watching it, and even playing board/card game versions of it like History Maker Baseball and Strat-o-Matic Baseball (which let me get my baseball fix over the winter ). I even had the baseball dartboard (in the top center-right of the image) when I was a kid.
This puzzle took me a while to build, but it was pretty good.

From gallery of Jude

d10-3d10-4 Dinosaurs Come to Life - Vermont Christmas Company (100 pieces)

I'm probably going to be building more small-footprint puzzles for a while until it gets cool enough to use the attic table again. This one was only 100 pieces, but has a fun image with depth.

From gallery of Jude

JULY:

d10-3d10-5 Warmth of Autumn - Cardinal (500 pieces)

This little 14x11 inch puzzle that I got for $1 from the Dollar Tree store is one of the most difficult puzzles I have done! It took me a while, but I did finish it, and although it was tricky, it wasn't too frustrating, and was still fun.

From gallery of Jude

d10-3d10-6 Cats Love Bubbles - Bits and Pieces (500 pieces)

I enjoyed building this one. It has many colorful and interesting things in the image, the pieces have a lot of variety, and there are six cats in the picture.

From gallery of Jude

d10-3d10-7 Quilt Shop - Buffalo (500 pieces)

Although the image seems chaotic, the colors and patterns actually made it a lot easier to figure out which pieces went where. There were only a couple of tricky parts. So, a pretty easy puzzle to build, but still very enjoyable because the image was nice to look at. And there are five cats in the picture.

From gallery of Jude

d10-3d10-8 Haflinger Duo - Magic of the Horses - D-Toys (239 pieces)

Nearly every piece, except the edge-pieces (and a few partial horse shapes), of this puzzle is shaped like a horse! There are tiny variations in the piece cuts so that a piece won't fit well into the wrong space. This was a tricky puzzle but a lot of fun to build.

From gallery of Jude

d10-3d10-9 The Country Shed - Eurographics (300 pieces)

For no real reason, I found that this puzzle was not as enjoyable as I expected to be. Oh, well.

From gallery of Jude

d10-4d10-0 Making New Friends - Bits and Pieces (300 pieces)

I enjoyed building this puzzle, not only because of the cool theme as a contrast to the actual temperature , but because of the interesting piece cuts, and the complexity of the subject matter and shadows in the image. The snowdog was a nice touch, too.

From gallery of Jude

d10-4d10-1 Poolside Pets - SunsOut (100 pieces)

I enjoyed this puzzle more than I expected to. A nice 100-piece puzzle for a relaxing short puzzling session...

From gallery of Jude

d10-4d10-2 Garfield (hammock) - Golden - Western Publishing (100 pieces)

This little puzzle had some surprisingly odd pieces.

From gallery of Jude

AUGUST

d10-4d10-3 Beyond the Rainbow - Eaton 1983 (500+ pieces)

This is a very cool-looking puzzle! Unfortunately, I bought it used and it is missing three pieces. Otherwise, it was a fun puzzle with good quality pieces (except for the 3 missing ones).

From gallery of Jude

d10-4d10-4 Sanctuary - 2016 Sure-Lox Art Gallery (750 pieces)

A winged woman and fairies, birds, insects, and plants: The image was fun to build with many cool details, although I found the puzzle to be rather difficult (and the pieces were thin and didn't hold together well).

From gallery of Jude

d10-4d10-5 Sea Serpent - Dragon Legends (glows) - E&L/Papercity Puzzles (100 pieces)

This puzzle was fun to build, despite being only 100 pieces. I enjoyed the colorful image and the details, and also the piece cuts, and the glow in the dark outline was pretty cool. It's a keeper.

From gallery of Jude

d10-4d10-6 Classics Illustrated Vintage Comic Book Covers collage - Atlantis (1000 pieces)

I had fun building this puzzle which is a collage image of old comic book covers based on "classic" novels.

From gallery of Jude

d10-4d10-7 Alice in Wonderland - Sparkling Dreams - Lafayette Puzzle Company (1000 pieces)

It's hard to tell from the photo, but this puzzle had a "sparkle" layer over the pieces, which was annoying at first, but after I adjusted the position of the lamps, I could build the puzzle without it bothering me much.

I found this puzzle to be rather hard and spent a long time building it.

From gallery of Jude

SEPTEMBER

d10-4d10-8 Nautilus (puzzle #1) - 2 in 1 Puzzles - LPF (240 pieces each puzzle)

This is one of two puzzles that came in one box, with the pieces mixed together, so I built both puzzles at the same time. The pieces are very thin, but stiff enough that it was worth building, and the images are nice, IMHO, and I only paid a dollar and tax from Dollar Tree. When I take the puzzles apart, I am going to put the pieces for each puzzle into a separate bag so that I can choose to just rebuild one of them. I especially enjoyed this Nautilus puzzle.

From gallery of Jude

d10-4d10-9 Dolphin Delight (puzzle #2) - 2 in 1 Puzzles - LPF (240 pieces each puzzle)

This is the second of two puzzles that came in one box, with the pieces mixed together, so I built both puzzles at the same time. See directly above for the other puzzle in the box, Nautilus.

From gallery of Jude

d10-5d10-0 Batman - Golden - Western Publishing (204 pieces)

This was an enjoyable, relaxing build of an almost 30-year old puzzle.

From gallery of Jude

d10-5d10-1 Arken Island - Dragon Legends - Glows - E&L/Papercity puzzles 2011 (100 pieces)

Cool little puzzle with a lot of dragons. Glows in the dark with a line drawing of the image.

From gallery of Jude

d10-5d10-2 Tyrannosaurus - Dinosaurs - Rainbow Works 1988 (204 pieces)

Portrait of a Tyrannosaurus Rex. This puzzle was a bit trickier than I expected.

From gallery of Jude

d10-5d10-3 Archduke Leopold Wilhelm in his Picture Gallery - (in Brussels) Tomax (500 pieces)

I found this puzzle to be difficult, but not frustrating. I enjoyed building it, especially because of all the different images in the paintings in the gallery. But I wish the pieces were a bit bigger because some of the image details were very small. The puzzle is approximately 15x20 inches but, IMHO, would have been better suited to 20x27 inches and a higher image resolution.

From gallery of Jude

d10-5d10-4 Garfield (pizza) - Golden - 1978 Western Publishing (200 pieces)

200-piece puzzles seem to be just the right size to spend a bit of time relaxing. I didn't particularly like the image, but the puzzle was okay.

From gallery of Jude

d10-5d10-5 Wishing You a Rainbow - Bits and Pieces (300 pieces)

I got this puzzle in a bundle with some puzzles that I wanted, and it's not an image I would have chosen, despite it having some nice colors. But, although it is rather cutesy, it turned out to be more fun than I expected, especially with the strange piece cuts (often present in the Bits and Pieces brand of puzzles).

From gallery of Jude

d10-5d10-6 Pinocchio - Castorland (120 pieces)

This little puzzle was more fun than I expected. It was pretty good for a kiddie puzzle: good quality image and pieces (although they were a standard cut, but fairly big, and I usually prefer non-standard cuts).

Lately, after being disappointed a few times with puzzles that I thought I would really enjoy, I built a few that I wasn't very enthusiastic about at first. It turns out that I enjoyed them more than I expected to. I wonder if it was because I didn't have high expectations, or if maybe I am a bad judge of which puzzles I will enjoy building!

From gallery of Jude

d10-5d10-7 Swans and Cygnets - round puzzle - Bits and Pieces (300 pieces)

This one was rather tricky, given that it only had 300 pieces! Many of the pieces were in odd shapes which was interesting. I enjoyed building it quite a lot.

(It also comes in a 1000-piece version for those who enjoy tough puzzles!)

From gallery of Jude

OCTOBER

d10-5d10-8 Up, Up, and Away - Buffalo (300 pieces)

I enjoyed building this colorful puzzle. I'll likely keep it and build it again, someday.

From gallery of Jude

d10-5d10-9 Ocean Adventure - SunsOut (100 pieces)

I built this little puzzle for the first time last year and decided that it was a keeper. It was fun and relaxing the second time I built it, too.

From gallery of Jude

d10-6d10-0 Trick or Treat - Vermont Christmas Company (1000 pieces)

This Hallowe'en-themed puzzle was more difficult than I expected it to be and I was gradually building it for well over a week. There are a lot of little details that I didn't notice at first.

From gallery of Jude

d10-6d10-1 Three Witches - SunsOut (300 pieces)

Another Hallowe'en-themed puzzle.

From gallery of Jude

NOVEMBER

d10-6d10-2 Day of the Dead Skull - Cardinal (300 pieces)

The background areas of mostly black and white (including the edge pieces) were really tricky even with the faint lines on the pieces to help. More than once, I put a piece in the wrong place at first. Still, I liked it well enough.

From gallery of Jude

d10-6d10-3 Star Wars Puzzle #4 Classic Trilogy Panoramic - 4-in-1 Multipack Puzzle Collector's Edition - Buffalo (500 pieces)

More difficult than I expected, but a good one. I really like the image and how it portrays almost all of the characters from the original trilogy. I'm glad that there was a mini-poster included, though, with a slightly bigger image than the one on the box cover to use as a reference.

From gallery of Jude

d10-6d10-4 End of the Dinosaurs - Glow in the Dark Dinoworld puzzle - LPF 2016 (200 pieces)

This was a fun puzzle to build. And turning out the lights afterward revealed a glow-in-the-dark image of the meteor and the skeletons of the dinosaurs.

From gallery of Jude

d10-6d10-5 Pirate Map - Ravensburger (200 pieces)

This puzzle was much better than I expected it to be, with many geographically thematic little details all over the image, some of which I didn't notice until I was putting the puzzle together. It was a fairly easy (and short) build, but fun. It's a keeper.

From gallery of Jude

d10-6d10-6 The Puzzle of the Universe - 1983 Hallmark Springbok (500+ pieces)

This is one of the puzzles that I brought back from my mother's house after she died. I remember enjoying first building it over 30 years ago, and it was enjoyable to build again. Not only is the image great, but the pieces have all sorts of interesting cuts, and the quality is very good (and the box includes a booklet about astronomy, too).

This star chart shows and names stars, galaxies, nebulae, constellations, the signs of the zodiac (sectioned monthly), and the planets of our solar system and some other interesting info. I wish I could have taken a better photo (it wasn't for lack of trying) so that everyone could see all the details more clearly.

From gallery of Jude

d10-6d10-7 Canning Season - ColorLuxe LPF (300 pieces)

From gallery of Jude

d10-6d10-8 Just a Summer Romance - ONLINE at jigidi (100 pieces)

Note: The reason I took a screenshot of the online puzzles with one piece remaining is that when I place the last piece the image changes to the reference image, and I wanted the piece cut to be visible in my pics.

From gallery of Jude

d10-6d10-9 The Astronomer - Glow in the Dark - F.X. Schmid (1000 pieces)- completed - 1 piece MISSING

I found this puzzle to be difficult, but I was enjoying building it until I realized that there was a piece missing despite the seller assuring me, before I bought it, that it was complete. I realized when there were only blue and purple pieces left that I still needed a red and gold piece in the lower right area.

The puzzle was made more difficult to build because of the "glow in the dark" paint which obscured some of the details of the puzzle (as compared to the box cover image). It does glow nicely in the dark, although my photo doesn't do it justice.

DECEMBER

d10-7d10-0 Baseball - 2006 Leap Year Vista (100 pieces)

I loved playing baseball and even watching it is still enjoyable.  I finished this puzzle pretty quickly because it was only 100 pieces.  I had a lot of trouble getting the box open, though!

I am also happy to play baseball simulation board games like History Maker Baseball and Strat-o-Matic Baseball, and even the fanciful Baseball Highlights 2045.

From gallery of Jude

d10-7d10-1 Four Aces Flying School - Charles Wysocki - Buffalo (300 pieces)

There is nothing to compare with the feeling of flying in an open-cockpit biplane. Although, in real life, I was not ever the pilot, but a passenger, which is probably just as well.

From gallery of Jude

d10-7d10-2 Vintage Paris - Ravensburger (1500 pieces)

This puzzle took me about 10 days to complete.

I had been really looking forward to building it, but my enjoyment was somewhat spoiled because, although I got it new and still sealed, about 100 pieces were already damaged (bent knobs, crushed edges, and/or peeling), and although the box claimed that it was a "Premium Puzzle" with "Softclick Technology", the pieces fit together rather loosely. Disappointing, since I like the image.

From gallery of Jude

d10-7d10-3 Flower Shop Kittens - round puzzle - Bits and Pieces (500 pieces)

I enjoyed building this puzzle more than I expected to, although, except for one weird piece, the piece cuts weren't as strange as some of my other Bits and Pieces brand of puzzles. It was interesting even when I was putting in the last couple of pieces.

From gallery of Jude

d10-7d10-4 Sweet Holiday Dreams - Masterpieces (300 pieces)

This is my Christmas-themed puzzle for this year.

From gallery of Jude

d10-7d10-5 Prehistoric Party - Cobble Hill (350 pieces)

This puzzle was fun to build. It had a mix of piece sizes (from extra large to small) gradated from one side of the image to the other. It also had many interesting piece cuts, and I like the image.

From gallery of Jude

d10-7d10-6 Heavenly Dreams - Vermont Christmas Company (100 pieces)

Last puzzle of this year.

I am playing SOLO unless noted otherwise, using the base game and all of the expansions except for those that don't work well with solo play (Coaches and Ballparks). I am playing each game as a 7 mini-game series with 3 initial Buy Rounds and using a 10-player free agent market, unless I have noted otherwise. According to the solo rules, my team is always the Visiting Team, and therefore plays first.

Using various very good player-made solo variants I downloaded.

February 22, 2018

d10-1 Using this solo variant: https://www.boardgamegeek.com/filepage/101516/ (With optional harder rules making Villains in the line-up attack every turn, and Weakness cards are drawn from the Timer deck)

Aquaman versus
Ra's Al Ghul
Lex Luthor
Atrocitus
Captain Cold
Black Manta
Deathstroke
Darkseid
The Joker

Aquaman won, defeating all 8 Super-Villains with 1 Timer card remaining. 98 points (highest level): Minimal to no major damage to 1 or 2 cities. Minimal casualties. Heroes earned a greater trust and respect of the citizens, media and government.

Aquaman is my favorite Super Hero from the base game, although I like playing many of the others, too.

d10-2 (same variant as for d10-1 )

The Flash versus
Ra's Al Ghul
Parallax
Felix Faust
Deathstroke
Captain Cold
Atrocitus
Black Manta
Not Defeated:
Sinestro

The Flash only defeated 7 Super-Villains: The key points of the Super-Villains' master plan failed although some details succeeded, laying the ground work for the return of the true mastermind of the plot.
But he made 102 points! (highest level): Minimal to no major damage to 1 or 2 cities. Minimal casualties. Heroes earned a greater trust and respect of the citizens, media and government.

Running into Parallax as the second super-villain slowed the Flash down.

d10-3 (same variant as for d10-1 )

Vixen (promo card) versus
Ra's Al Ghul
The Anti-Monitor
Atrocitus
Black Manta
Deathstroke
Lex Luthor
Captain Cold
Parallax

Vixen won, defeating all 8 Super-Villains with 3 Timer cards remaining. 81 points (the minimum points for the highest level): Minimal to no major damage to 1 or 2 cities. Minimal casualties. Heroes earned a greater trust and respect of the citizens, media and government.

Vixen is fun to play since using her power is like playing a game of chance unless there is a way to know which card is on top of the player's deck.

d10-1 Black Canary versus
Vandal Savage
H'el
Trigon
Mr. Freeze
Arkillo
Black Adam
Mongul
Helspont

All 8 Super-Villains defeated
5 timer cards remaining
85 points

The heroes stopped the scheme and captured all the conspirators. Minimal to no major damage to 1 or 2 cities. Minimal casualties. Heroes earned a greater trust and respect of the citizens, media and government.

d10-2 Starfire (promo card) versus
Vandal Savage
Mongul
Hector Hammond
Arkillo
Graves
Amazo
Nekron
Helspont

All 8 Super-Villains defeated (although Mongul was destroyed later, so was worth no points)
3 timer cards remaining
116 points

The heroes stopped the scheme and captured all the conspirators. Minimal to no major damage to 1 or 2 cities. Minimal casualties. Heroes earned a greater trust and respect of the citizens, media and government.

d10-3 Nightwing versus
Vandal Savage
Graves
Mr. Freeze
H'el
Helspont
Black Adam
(undefeated) Trigon
(unrevealed) Hector Hammond

The game ended when I needed to draw a Weakness card due to an attack which I was unable to defend against, but the timer pile was empty, so I didn't even get to finish that turn.

6 Super-Villains defeated
No timer cards remaining
65 points

The key points of the Super-Villains' master plan failed although some details succeeded, laying the ground work for the return of the true mastermind of the plot. Severe damage has hit several large cities. Casualties have been lessened by the publicly recognized action of the heroes. The rebuilding process has begun and the public is thankful but hesitant to trust these heroes.

d10-4 Booster Gold versus
Vandal Savage
Amazo
Trigon
Mongul
Black Adam
(undefeated) Mr. Freeze
(unrevealed) Arkillo
(unrevealed) Graves

5 Super-Villains defeated
No timer cards remaining
57 points

The Super-Villains' plan didn't succeed but didn't fail. The key conspirators got away and will be back to challenge the heroes again. Cities are badly damaged from the battles. Casualties are high a few low-level heroes are looking for lost loved ones. The public has lost faith in super heroes and are calling for a change in policy.

d10-5 Shazam! versus
Vandal Savage
Hector Hammond
Mr. Freeze
Amazo
Helspont
H'el
Mongul
(undefeated) Arkillo

The game ended when I needed to draw a Weakness card due to Arkillo's First Attack which I was unable to defend against, but the timer pile was empty, so I didn't even get to finish that turn. Still, the original Captain Marvel did pretty well!

7 Super-Villains defeated
No timer cards remaining
112 points

The key points of the Super-Villains' master plan failed although some details succeeded, laying the ground work for the return of the true mastermind of the plot. Minimal to no major damage to 1 or 2 cities. Minimal casualties. Heroes earned a greater trust and respect of the citizens, media and government.

July 26, 2018

d10-6 Red Tornado versus

124 points

The heroes stopped the scheme and captured all the conspirators. Minimal to no major damage to 1 or 2 cities. Minimal casualties. Heroes earned a greater trust and respect of the citizens, media and government.

d10-7 Hawkman versus
Vandal Savage
Mr. Freeze
Arkillo
Helspont
Amazo
Mongul
Black Adam
H'el

All 8 Super-Villains defeated
No timer cards remaining
93 points

d10-8 Batgirl versus
Vandal Savage
Mongul
Amazo
Nekron
Black Adam
Arkillo
(unrevealed) Hector Hammond
(unrevealed) Trigon

6 Super-Villains defeated
No timer cards remaining
80 points

The key points of the Super-Villains' master plan failed although some details succeeded, laying the ground work for the return of the true mastermind of the plot. A few cities have taken moderate damage. Casualties are manageable. The heroes and public have begun rebuilding. Still leery, the public is beginning to believe that these heroes can make a difference in the defense of Earth and people's everyday lives.

d10-9 Vixen (promo card) versus
Vandal Savage
Trigon
Amazo
Mongul
Arkillo
H'el
Hector Hammond
Nekron

All 8 Super-Villains defeated

July 28, 2018

d10-1d10-0 Kid Flash (promo card) versus
Vandal Savage
Graves
Mr. Freeze
H'el
Mongul
Nekron
Amazo
Trigon

I didn't think the Kid Flash's ability would be very useful in the solo variant I played (see the top of this geeklist entry), but surprisingly it made a big difference during a couple of turns, not only allowing me to use points to gain a better or cheaper card, but also in one case allowing me to get a villain without the attack coming into play (since the villain "attack" phase for the solo variant comes before the regular card play (with the exception of playing defense actions).

All 8 Super-Villains defeated
No timer cards remaining
112 points

The heroes stopped the scheme and captured all the conspirators. Minimal to no major damage to 1 or 2 cities. Minimal casualties. Heroes earned a greater trust and respect of the citizens, media and government.

All games played solitaire unless noted otherwise.

I have the base game, the Frogkin promo character, and the Minions & Monsters expansion, but probably won't be playing with the expansion until later.

April 10, 2018
d10-1 I just played my first ever game of Roll Player. I played solo using the official solitaire rules:

Human Renegade Thief with a Street Urchin background
Score = 31 points (Luminary level)

I scored higher than I expected, given that I had just learned the rules, but the strategy seemed pretty obvious... I hope it was just beginner's luck (it is a dice game, after all!) and that it will provide a good challenge for future games.

Board Game: Roll Player

d10-2 Solo.
Dragonkin Free Spirit Ranger with a Persecuted background
Score = 36 points (Clan Leader level)

d10-3 Solo.
Elf Maniac Bard with a Riftwalker background
Score = 36 points (Clan Leader level)

(I forgot to take a picture.)

d10-4 Solo.
Frogkin Truthseeker Sorcerer with a Resilient background
Score = 37 points (Clan Leader level)

d10-5 Solo.
Halfling Sociopath Paladin with an Aristocrat background
Score = 35 points (Clan Leader level)

All games were played solo unless otherwise noted, using the following solo variant (which I wrote):

https://boardgamegeek.com/article/28949816#28949816

April 28, 2018

I played this game today for International Tabletop Day
(www.tabletopday.com)

d10-1 I scored 19 points and was only in danger of starving once. It's a decent score (using the revised chart in my solo variant mentioned above): Recognized and Acknowledged.

d10-2 21 points this game!: Famous (or Infamous!) and Popular.

d10-3 Only 15 points and I had to use the "Last Supper" optional rule near the end, or I would have starved and lost the game. Instead I survived and barely made it into the "Recognized and Acknowledged" level. I kind of feel like that was cheating a bit, though, especially since I was using my variant to make the game harder to win!

On my Mac. Also, played single-player at "/players 8" unless noted otherwise.

d10-1 I created a new character, a sorceress named Oya, who will concentrate on Cold and Lightning skills. She already found a pretty good staff that gives her bonuses in Ice Blast and Warmth (and Inferno) and is socketed, so I can add 2 damage causing gems or runes to it when I find some good ones, which will make it useful in close combat, too. When I stopped playing for the night, she was at level 7.

February 27, 2018
d10-2 I created another new character, a werewolf Druid name Garoul, who will also have Summoning skills. He's at level 4 at this point.

February 28, 2018
d10-3 Garoul the werewolf Druid is now level 8 and can summon a bunch of different creatures (and have a minion follower).

March 1, 2018
d10-4 Oya the sorceress is now 12th level and is wearing Arctic Furs (+10 to all resistances) although I may give the armor to my minion soon.

March 8, 2018
d10-5 Oya the sorceress is now 13th level.

March 18, 2018
d10-6 I created a new character, Devin the Necromancer (although, he is more of an artificer than a necromancer since he creates golems but doesn't raise the dead). Devin reached level 9 before I stopped playing for the night.

May 11, 2018
d10-7 My new character is Sharp the Amazon. She is currently at level 5.

UNO UNDERCOVER

On my Mac, using the Uno Undercover app,
From gallery of Jude

which doesn't seem to have an entry on BGG/VGG. The computer game consists of games played just like regular Uno (against AI opponents), but has an interconnecting storyline between the individual games (and cosmetic "bonuses" that can be bought which do not affect gameplay).

Here's a youtube video about the gameplay:

May 29, 2018
d10-1 This app has a number of games (usually 4 games, I believe) grouped as "missions". I started the game over from the beginning, and completed the first mission of four games, winning all of them.
It's basically just Uno with a silly story attached, but it is a nice filler, and making me laugh was especially good since I was in great pain from a root canal.
