The Fantasy Trip (TFT) started as a set of games (originally "Melee" and "Wizard") developed by Metagaming in the late 1970's. TFT distinguished itself by being a fun, fast-playing representation of man-to-man combat with weapons and magic.

Although the releases ended with the dissolution of Metagaming Concepts in 1983, games related to the TFT family (and its trademark) live on through the compatible releases of Dark City Games and other games such as "Heroes & Other Worlds".
