Five of the games I haven't even heard of, but ...

I've heard that Offworld Trading Company is excellent, and at this price I might as well try it even though I usually don't end up liking management/economic/business games.

Stellaris is considered amazing by some, though others think it has taken a wrong turn.

Civ VI is a game I figured I'd buy someday when the price drops.

Though I'm tempted, I'll probably pass, though. Civ VI is the only game I'm likely to play (unless one of the five unknown games surprises me), and I'm busy enough with other games that I can wait longer for it.

Amazing bundle for the price if you don't already own a lot of them.

In addition to what Patrick said, Dungeons 3 is a modern take on the Dungeon Keeper style management RTS game.

I picked up the 2nd tier just for Offworld Trading Company which I've had on my wishlist for a while. On the one hand, I feel bad for getting it so cheaply, but on the other hand I'm not sure I'll ever even get around to playing it...

Funny how we feel that way, isn't it?

Used to be, "Why, this is a steal!" Now it's, "Hmm, this feels like stealing."

I don't mind so much for games, whether AAA or indie, that seem to have sold gang-busters (things like Cuphead, Hollow Knight, etc), but OWTC seems like a really interesting take on an already niche genre. I guess if they have as many expansions as they do, it must have sold well enough though.

I have had Stellaris on my wishlist for a long time...

But it feels bad to buy Civ VI -- it's like an insult to my beloved Civ IV.

I know that feeling too. It's part of what held me back from buying this bundle. If I had Civ VI, I'd have to try it; and then if it turned out to be just a further development of Civ V (as I imagine it is), I'd want to go back to Civ IV anyway--but now this new game would be taking up my time (and part of me would want to believe the latest Civ is also the greatest).

Don't feel bad. Game companies wouldn't do it if it wasn't beneficial to them.

Civ VI has been out a while, so it's likely most people who were going to get it at any sort of costly price would have done so by now. Putting it in a bundle for cheap means they get an influx of revenue very quickly. These bundles sell tens of thousands in a matter of days, and there is no physical products involved. Also, if you have tens of thousands of new players to the Civ series, then Civ VI expansions and Civ VII are more likely to reach more people.

There's also the benefit of helping charities, and this month's featured charity is one that some of my friends volunteer with, Extra Life.

Offworld Trading Company is a good'un. Stellaris is great but has such frequent updates that I find it impossible to finish a game without all the rules changing. (Yes, I know that I can tell Steam to ignore updates and stick to a particular older version).

Offworld Trading Company is interesting, but it's yet another thing where all of the games are essentially multiplayer, either vs. the computer or vs. other people, and I don't understand how to think well about the game.

I realize this is a pretty strange complaint for someone who is a big fan of board games, but here we are.

The tutorial-ish stuff and early challenges that I did get through were nice, though, and I mean to get back to it at some point.
