The dark wizard, Aldorin, threatens the realm and to stop him, Temeres is tasked with reuniting the White and Black Unicorns to restore cosmic balance.
To aid him in the coming conflict, Temeres must search the cosmos for magical items and potions and defeat various waykeepers and guardians.
Wizard Wars is turn-based, involving the player's selection of an action: cast spell, mix potion, flee, and so on. Opponents do likewise, in turn.
Early on, Temeres may cast only elementary spells such as "lightening bolt," but gains power and abilities as the game progresses.
