VENT is a simple "hack and slash" fantasy adventure game set in a wilderness setting. The emphasis is on destroying monsters, sacking evil citadels and collecting treasures. VENT uses ASCII characters to graphically portray the game map.
The original release of the game was titled VENT.ONE. It was designed to be played on monochrome VT-100 and VT-912 terminals. An updated IBM PC version of VENT was released in 2012 for use with DOS emulators and compatible BASIC interpreters.
