Kieta Princess is a game that was released only in Japan for the Famicom Disk System, the disc-based peripheral for the Famicom. Its name roughly translates to "Kidnapped Princess". The player is a detective tracking down leads to find the missing princess.
There are action stages with platforms and enemies as well as a world map, where you can explore towns and question people for information. Similar to River City Ransom, there are various things to do aside from searching for the princess: eating at restaurants, training in dojos and selling items you collect. A clock tracks the time and the day/night cycle.
As one of Imagineer's "Wave Jack" games, it was released with a story book and audio cassette, which expanded the game world and helped with some of the puzzles.
