Alchademy is a puzzle game similar to other Alchemy-type games where players combine two items to make something new. It has items that can be used as ingredients for new items, and creations that can't be used to make anything new.
There are six different books, each which starts with three or four base ingredients. There are around fifty to eighty items to find in each book. The books may be purchased with in-game currency, but they also unlock on their own if players find all the combinations in the previous book.
The entire game feels like Halloween. The items themselves are combined in a cauldron. The art is amazingly good, very cute, and the creations are so unique!
Once the player gets used to the fact that each combination takes a lot of actual time to brew, it's quite fun. The game actually encourages the player to put it down and walk away while items are being combined in the cauldron. It's clearly aimed at children based on the comments that pop up on screen about now is a good time to finish your homework, binge your favorite show, or go for a walk outside.
