"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III: The Manhattan Project is a side-scrolling beat-'em-up released by Konami for the Nintendo Entertainment System in North America in 1992. It is the third video game iteration of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise for the NES. The game features the same play mechanics featured in the previous game, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Arcade Game, but unlike its predecessor, it is an original title for the NES without any preceding arcade version. The Japanese version was released in 1991, a few months prior to the American release, under the title of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: The Manhattan Project, a number behind its American release due to the name change of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game for the NES when it was released for the Japanese market. No PAL version of the game was released."
