The Last Ninja is an exploration/combat/puzzle game from System 3, originally developped for the Commodore 64 in 1987. It featured remarkable graphics for its time and earned wide acclaim.
The player walks around in areas separated by flick-screen rooms, picking up objects, fighting foes, jumping over complicated areas, sometimes having to place the correct object in the correct place to advance. The game uses an isometric 3D perspective.
The game was later ported to the Amiga and Atari ST in 1990 under the name "Last Ninja Remix". In 1990 there was also a title called Ninja Remix released the 8-bit systems, but that was a remix of the original game, The Last Ninja, with slightly changed graphics and newly made music.
Adding to the name confusion, there was a NES port of the second game in the series, Last Ninja 2, on the NES called The Last Ninja. Please note that the NES release Last Ninja is NOT this game; it's instead a release of Last Ninja 2.
