Throne of Bhaal is the last chapter of the Baldur's Gate saga. After the defeat of Irenicus, the player's quest continues as war erupts all over Faerun. The remaining Bhaalspawn have gathered armies and seek to destroy each other, leaving a trail of carnage and destruction in their path. Will the prophecies of the Wise Alaundo come true and a new God of Murder ascend ?
The game picks up right after the end of Shadows of Amn. In addition to the last chapters of the Bhaalspawn saga, it adds a huge new dungeon, Watcher's Keep, new characters and quests, a new character class (the Wild Mage, a wizard using entropy to cast spells with variable results), new items and spells and raises the experience cap to 8 millions (allowing single-class characters to reach 40th level and learn new high-powered abilities).
