The Raiden Project is a port of the arcade classics "Raiden I" and "Raiden II", and was one of the launch titles for the Sony Playstation.

Just as in the original arcade games, the player controls a fighter jet, destroying hordes of baddies as they scroll through levels. The jet may also be upgraded and equipped with various weapons that appear as bad guys are destroyed. A second player may also join in on the action, in which case the players play cooperatively against the computer.
