User Summary

Star Trek: The Kobayashi Alternative is an open ended text based adventure where you take on the role of Captain Kirk as the Enterprise searches for the lost ship, USS Robert A Heinlein.

Using the sophisticated text parser, you give orders to your crew to navigate the ship, conduct battle with enemy ships, conduct space exploration, go on landing parties, and other activities.

The scenario is described in the game manual as the 'updated replacement' for the Kobayashi Maru test that all Starfleet Cadets must take.
