Agent X was released for the ZX Spectrum in 1986 by Mastertronic and was developed by Steven Tatlock, John Tatlock and Tim Follin (music).
You assume the role of Agent X in his mission to rescue the President from the Mad Professor.
The four levels of the game consist of:
1. Driving a car along a scrolling road whilst avoiding enemies and obstacles.
2. Fighting off enemies with kicks and punches.
3. Shooting objects hurled at you by the Mad Professor.
4. Flying a helicopter through the caves of the Mad Professor's base.
Each section of the game must be loaded separately.
During each level the player's energy bar is depicted as Agent X walking towards his own grave.
