Nagi (Izanagi) is a warrior and ancestor of Susano who lived in Kamiki Village one hundred years ago. He trains hard with his blade Tsukuyomi and unlike Susano is dependable without being overly dependant on sake.
He challenged Ōkami Shiranui many times believing like the rest of the village that she was a familiar of Orochi. When Nagi’s secret love Nami was chosen as Orochi’s next maiden sacrifice he challenged the beast and was aided by Shiranui who perished saving him and sealing away Orochi. He became legendary with many statues built in his honor.
In Japanese mythology Izanagi and Izanami are the two gods who gave birth to Japan and many deities. After attempting to retrieve Izanami from Yomi he created Amaterasu, Susano, and Tsukuyomi by washing his left eye, right eye, and nose.
