User Summary

Molag Bal is a daedric prince whose sphere is the domination and enslavement of mortals. He desires to harvest the souls of mortals and spread seeds of strife and discord in the mortal realms. He is often depicted as a minotaur.

Molag Bal is often turned to by contrite vampires seeking relief from their affliction but he must solicit Vaernima for the actual cure. The particulars of this transaction are unknown.

His realm is called Coldharbour and said to resemble Nirn including the Imperial Palace but in ruins, darker, the sky is on fire, the air is freezing, and the ground is made up of sludge. Slave pens cover the landscape and any mortals found are quickly captured and added to the pens. He had a daughter named Molag Grunda who was in love with a lowly Frost Atronach which he did not approve of and cast them both into Oblivion to be punished for eternity. Only one artifact is associated with Molag Bal:

Mace of Molag Bal: Absorbs strength and magic.

The daedric prince’s enemies are Boethiah, Ebonarm and Mephala. He is served by the Daedroths.

In Daggerfall Molag Bal had the player eliminate a heretic mage.

In Morrowind he had the player eliminate a lazy minion who did not wreck the havoc and terror he was created to do.

In Oblivion he has the player attack Melus Petilius who has forsworn violence and force him to attack and kill.
