User Summary

Talos, Tiber Septim, or Dragonborn is the most important hero-god of mankind and part of the Nine Divines. His name means Stormcrown and is called 'the Grey Wind' and 'the Storm of Kyne' by the Greybeards. He is the patron of adventures, warriors, and generals.

He conquered all of Tamriel, ushered in the third era, and the third empire. So great were his deeds that upon his death in the third era he was made a god causing the Eight Divines to become the Nine, often referred to as the "eight and one".

Talos united most of the lands that formed the empire and became the most glorified god by the human races. He has stirred conflict with the elves, particularly the Altmer who do not see him as a god or glorify him as the humans do. In the fourth era the empire signed the ‘White-Gold Concordat’ with the Aldermi Dominion which banned the worship of Talos claiming it was impossible for a man to become a god. This threw the empire into a state of turmoil and caused the civil war against the Stormcloaks in Skyrim.

He had appeared in the mortal realm once in the form of an imperial avatar called Wulf. Artifacts associated with Talos are the Armor of Tiber Septim and the Boots of the Apostle.
