Flemeth is a mysterious and notorious Witch of the Wilds and shapeshifter. She is said to have had many daughters and to have devoured their hearts when they crossed her. Although she is presumed immortal and her age is unknown, Flemeth can be slain but will return in time. According to legend she obtained her immortality through a deal with a demon and according to Flemeth’s gimoire it is through taking possession of her daughter’s bodies.
The only known currently living daughter of Flemeth is Morrigan who was raised by Flemeth in a shack within the wilds. Whether Morrigan is adopted or truly of Flemeth’s blood is unknown as neither Flemeth nor Morrigan with confirm or deny it. The two seem to share a mutual hatred for men believing them to be easily manipulated, gullible, and unreasonable. They both share the same belief that love and beauty mean nothing while survival and power mean everything.
She is highly feared and sought by the Templars who believe her to be an abomination and a blood mage. The Templars have relentlessly chased Flemeth throughout the years but instead of outright confronting them Flemeth has toyed and led them astray. Although unlikely an abomination Flemeth is not human either and often takes the form of a dragon when faced with direct confrontation.
She protected the Grey Warden Documents after the seal that had previously done so wore off and happily returned them when the Grey Wardens came. Flemeth also saved the lives of the remaining two Grey Wardens from the battle at Ostagar and sent her daughter Morrigan to assist them in ending the Blight. However it is later revealed that Morrigan was sent with Grey Wardens with the intention of getting impregnated by one of them. So that when the Arch-demon was slain it would be drawn to the developing child with the tainted blood of the Warden. What Flemeth and Morrigan plan to do with the child are is unknown as are all their motivations.
