Ray the engineer joins the party after the end of stage 5.
His primary ability, Flamethrower, takes a few seconds to recharge after use. Flamethrower launches a wide beam of flame forward causing 400 damage to every affected enemy.
His passive ability, on at all times, is Too Young To Die. If Ray receives lethal damage his hit points are reduced to 1 instead and the rest of the damage is distributed evenly among the other 2 party members.
Ray also has a set of 6 upgradable abilities. Each can be upgraded 5 times at various increasing costs. They are:
Loot Magnet - Josh's Gold Magnet area of effect is increased by 40 / 80 / 120 / 160 / 200 %.
Loot Expert - Increases the probability to get a weapon upgrade drop by 2 / 4 / 6 / 8 / 10 %.
Napalm Bomb - Fire engulfs any enemy hit. The fire burns for 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 seconds causing a 50% damage each second.
Overdive - The area of effect and damage of Ray's primary ability is increased by 20 / 40 / 60 / 80 / 100 %.
Healing Drone - Grants a healing drone which restores 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 % of Ray's maximum hit points for 5 seconds.
Attack Drone - Grants a battle drone which attacks the nearest enemy twice per second, causing 25% damage.
