Point-and-Click utilizes a cursor to interact with objects displayed on the screen. Newer games eventually incorporated pre-rendered 3D elements and live-action video.

Identical to Point-and-Click, but use a first-person perspective and often feature few or no other characters.
The player has to escape from imprisonment by exploiting their surroundings. The room usually consists of a locked door, objects to manipulate, and hidden clues or secret compartments.
