Swedish food company founded in 1945 by selling frozen fruit and vegetables in 60 stores located in Stockholm, but didn't get their name Findus until 1947, where the name came from the Swedish word Fruktindustri (Fruit Industry). In 1960 they buy Ready to eat meal factory in Helsingborg and two years later were purchased by Nestlé.
Later Findus bought a bakery in Sweden and also signed a pea contract with Sagit (part of Unilever).
In the 1990s they have published at least one video game.
In 2000 there EQT bought Findus and part of the company's frozen business in Europe, and Findus then later (in 2015) became a part of Nomad Foods Europe, located in UK where the Findus brand now is used in Scandinavia, France and Italy.
