British publisher Psygnosis released the Armour-Geddon series in the early 90s. The original game was available on Amiga, Atari ST and DOS. The sequel, Codename Hellfire appears only to have received an Amiga release.
The games allowed the player to pilot futuristic fighter and bomber aircraft, tanks and hovercraft in a mixture of simulation and strategy.
A key aspect of the games was assigning development resources to generate new vehicles.
Another feature of the series was the ability to link two computers via null-modem cable in order to play head-to-head.
