The Namco series of J.League Soccer Prime Goal (Ｊリーグサッカー プライムゴール) allows players to play as soccer players in the J. League. The original price of the game was ¥9,800 in Japan (approximately $75 USD). There was a relatively elaborate television commercial for the first game that appeared on Japanese television during the second quarter of 1993. It would show the Namco logo followed by the box art appearing out from underneath a soccer stadium full of players to the tune of Olé, Olé, Olé.
The first two games were Japanese only (the J in J. League), but the third game J.League Prime Goal 3 was also released in Europe under the name 90 Minutes European Prime Goal.
