2R1B PBF Roles

These are finalized roles created by players for use in 2R1B PBFs.

A

Attention Whore - Grey - You can show any color in a color reveal or color share. You must perform at least one private card reveal or card share per round. You win if you get an average of more thumbs per round than players in your rooms. - DeMorcerf

B

Battery-Powered Shield - Blue - Whenever a player private reveals to you, you take their card. You do not gain the powers or role of any card you take. If you have at least one card besides your own, you gain the "charged" condition. If you have the "charged" condition and you co-reveal with the President, you give them your card and any cards you have collected to that point and the President gains the "shielded" condition. A player with the shielded condition gains a number of shield points equal to the number of other players' cards he has, minus 1 (so you don't count the Battery-Powered Shield card). At the end of the game, each shield prevents one explosion from harming the President. If the President is out of shields and any explosions remain, the President gains the dead condition. Requires Battery-Powered Payload. - Slathe

Battery-Powered Payload - Red - Whenever a player private reveals to you, you take their card. You do not gain the powers or role of any card you take. If you have at least one card besides your own, you gain the "charged" condition. If you have the "charged" condition and you co-reveal with the Bomber, you give them your card and any cards you have collected to that point and the Bomber gains the "Cluster" condition. A player with the Cluster condition gains a number of explosion points equal to the number of other players' cards he has, minus 1 (so you don't count the Battery-Powered Payload card). At the end of the game, each explosion point creates one additional explosion in the same room as the bomb (the bomb itself creates one explosion as well). If the President is out of shields and any explosions remain, the President gains the dead condition. Requires Battery-Powered Shield. - Slathe

Body Double - Red/Blue - When you show your card in a private reveal or card share, you may instead show the card of the VIP associated with the color of your card instead. On card shares, you must decide which card you are showing before seeing the other person's card. When you public reveal, you must use your Body Double card. -Kiwi13cubed, OddlyRaven, shawnad2006

Brawler - Grey - Once per round, you may publicly reveal and name a player in the current room. If that player is also a Gray Brawler, you choose to become RED AGENT or BLUE AGENT, and the other Brawler becomes the color you didn't pick but plain TEAM (RED TEAM or BLUE TEAM) (one Grey Brawler will become Red, the other Grey Brawler will become Blue; the one who targets correctly first will become an Agent, the other plain Team Member.) You lose if you are still a Gray Brawler at the end of the game. - contiguity

C

Carrier - Blue/Red - Anyone who co-reveals with the Carrier obtains the 'infected' condition. 'Infected' players lose the game (irrespective of their team's win condition) if they do not have their 'infected' condition removed before the end of the game. Carriers do not begin with the 'infected' condition but may receive it from other Carriers. - talusproteus

Celebrity Impersonator - Red - You are on the red team. During rounds 1 and 2, instead of having your Celebrity Impersonator card, you have a Blue President card and appear as the Blue President. - rathstar

Chaotic Neutral - Grey - You win if fewer than half of the players in the game, not counting yourself, win. -clydeiii

Con Artist - Blue/Red - Your card is identical to the Spy except that, at the end of the round, you may transfer any votes you received for room leadership to another person. Please indicate who you wish to send your votes to in a Geekmail to the moderator before the round ends. - OddlyRaven

Color Blind - Blue/Red - Your color is shared as "???" except during public reveals. Once per game you may publicly reveal to cause everyone else's color to be "???" for that round. - contiguity

D

Doppleganger - Purple - During the first round, you may color reveal as red or blue, but on full reveals you reveal as the Purple Doppleganger. Before the end of the first round, you must choose a player and message the moderator. The moderator will tell you that player's full role. For the remainder of the game, you may only reveal as that role, and you gain all powers of that role.
You win with the team of the role you are copying. The player you choose to copy is not told that you are copying them, but they now win with the opposing team wins. (Ex., you choose to copy Dakota, who is the Red Engineer. You now reveal as the Red Engineer and gain all powers of the Red Engineer and win with the red team. Dakota still reveals and has all the powers of the Red Engineer, but wins with Blue Team. If you copy a non-red/blue role, you gain that role's win conditions, but only win if the player you copied loses. - Slathe

F

Famine - Grey - Any player that card shares with you acquires the "hungry" condition. Players with the "hungry" condition at the end of the game gain the "dead" condition. Players can give their card to a player with "hungry" condition via private reveal, saying "Here, eat this" to cure them and satiate their hunger (such cards are considered "eaten" and no longer in play). You win if at least two different colored players die of "hunger" at the end. - dxmify

I

Inoculator - Blue/Red - Any player that card shares with you acquires the "immune" condition. Players with the "immune" condition are immune to all powers and conditions, with the exception of the "dead" condition. Inoculators do not start the game with the "immune" condition. - nolemonplease

Instigator - Blue/Red - Once per game, if someone does any sort of reveal to/with you, then you can public reveal and say "I am using my INSTIGATE power on [that player]; they must now public reveal." - dxmify

K

Kung Fu Master - Blue/Red - Once per round, you may privately reveal your card to another player and tell him/her, "Check out my Kung Fu grip!" If that player is a Bouncer or a Tenctaclese, he/she may not use his/her power for the remainder of that round. - talusproteus

L

Lobbyist - Blue/Red - When you card share or color share with a player, the player gains the "lobbied" condition. When the Lobbyist public reveals, he can use his LOBBYING power to force all players who have the "lobbied" condition from him to lock-vote for him as leader that round. By keeping their vote there, they lose the "lobbied" condition (they lose the "lobbied" condition when the Lobbyist uses the LOBBYING power). - eskmoe, Machiavellian

Lost Boy - Blue/Red - Neither you nor the other Lost Boy know your own color. You can show RED or BLUE. All other starting members of both teams know both of your identities and colors. (It is up to your team members to convince you which side you each are on) - shawnad2006

Lurker at the Threshold - Green - You are immune to all conditions. You may private reveal to any player and say "I offer you a pact". That player must respond to your message by explicitly and secretly accepting or rejecting your pact (this can be done without whispering). Any player that accepts your pact gains the "empowered" condition. Any player with the "empowered" condition may choose to remove that condition at any time for one of the following effects:
1) Cancel another player's empowered effect on them as it is used.
2) Private reveal to another player, tell them you are burning your power to give that player the Coy condition
3) Purge all conditions from themself (excluding Empowered and Exhausted)
4) Private reveal to another player and tell them you are burning your power to purge all conditions from that player (excluding Empowered or Exhausted)
5) Private reveal to another player and give them the stoned condition and force them to retract all previous votes
6) Grant themselves an extra vote while still counting as 1 person in the room for player total (the Mayor ability)
7) Private reveal to another player, tell them you are burning your power and that they must offer a co-reveal to another player that cannot be retracted during that round.
Any player that chooses to lose the empowered condition gains the exhausted condition. At the end of the game, each player with the exhausted condition rolls an N sided die (Where N is the total number of players with the exhausted condition). Any player that rolls less than or equal to (N-2) immediately loses the game. If at least five players end the game with the exhausted condition (this can be more depending on size), The Lurker at the Threshold wins. If not, the Lurker at the Threshhold loses. - Slathe

M

Machiavelli - Grey - Any player who color shares or card shares with you gains the "anointed" condition. Gray Machiavelli wins if he/she controls both rooms at the end of the game directly and/or indirectly via "anointed" players. Anyone with the "anointed" condition loses if Gray Machiavelli loses. -Machiavellian

Medium - Blue/Red - You have the SEANCE power. Once per round, you may attempt to contact a spirit from a past PBF (a player who is not playing in this one) to join the thread. The Spirit will take on a previous role that they had in a previous game, decided by the Medium. For example, Mike was Blue Vampire in PBF15. I can "Contact Mike", and ask him to play Blue Vampire. If he shows up in the thread, he is Blue Vampire until he leaves or time is up.
Regarding Spirits: Each Spirit can only be brought into the game once per game. Though you may attempt to contact the same Spirit more than once. Once called, Spirits can only read the current round room thread they are in (they can't read past room threads of the medium). They are free to whisper, card share, color share, just as if they were a player in the game. The Spirit leaves the thread when the round ends. It can choose to leave earlier by posting as an action. - nolemonplease

Mirror - Blue/Red - You have the REFLECT power. Once per game, when somebody would inflict a condition upon you through a card share, you may reply "I am using my REFLECT power." That person now has the condition he or she tried to inflict upon you, and you are immune to that condition for the rest of the game. - Interessovat

Blue Mole / Red Undercover Agent - Blue/Red - The Blue Mole begins the game with the 'Red Team wins' condition and the Red Undercover Agent begins the game with the 'Blue Team wins' condition. The '(Other) Team wins' condition is removed if you have not been eliminated from the game by the start of the final round. Also, you start the game having automaticly co-revealed with your team's VIP. The Mole is free to communicate with the President at any time and the Red Undercover Agent is free to communicate with the Bomber at any time. It is not required the Mole be in the same room as the President or the Undercover Agent be in the same room with the Bomber, and it is not required that they post publicly they are whispering. Note, if the President is removed from the game, these abilities are NOT shared with the President's Daughter, and if the Bomber is removed from the game, these abilities are NOT shared with the Martyr. - jackelfrink

Moogle - Blue/Red - Twice per game, you may private reveal to another player and say "I am the RED/BLUE MOOGLE. I will deliver your letters, Kupo! (For the remainder of the round if we are in the same room you must send all your whispers only to me and I will forward them to their addressee. I cannot tamper or edit the message in anyway.)" - Natsume

N

Nam Rorrim - Blue/Red - All the words of your Sentences must be spoken (written) in reverse order. For example: If you were to say "I am Red", You would need to say "Red am I". - zeebo30

O

Oscar Nominee - Grey - You must impersonate a different "famous" 2R1B PBF player per round (not yourself). You must let the moderator know which player this is prior to the round beginning. You cannot publicly say who you are impersonating. At the end of the game, you win if 3 or more of the players you impersonated win the game AND the a third of the other players are able to judge whom you were impersonating and declare it a good performance. -Seen

One-Man Band - Blue/Red - Once per game you may publicly reveal yourself to the room. For the rest of the round no one in the room may whisper since your music is too loud. -Machiavellian

Outfitter - Blue/Red - When you private reveal to someone, you may tell them to "take my outfit". When you do, you hand them your card. You no longer have your card. Any player that has your card may show it as if it were their own. That player may not hand your card off to anyone else. - Slathe

P

Painter - Blue/Red - On color or card sharing, if the person you share with shows a different color from your own, you give them the 'painted' condition and can change their card's color (repaint it) to any different color that you have a paint can remaining for. You start with ONE paint can for each color: Red, Blue, Grey, Purple, Green, Yellow, Pink, Black, White. When that player later performs color reveals or color shares they must show this new color. For example, if the Red Painter shares with the Blue President and paints him red, then he must color reveal as 'red' and on card reveals must reveal as Blue President. -maytheodds

Postman - Blue/Red - Once per round, you may send ONE message to a single player in the other room. To do this, you post as a bolded action in your room, "[Mail letter to (other player's name)]", and then Geekmail them. The recipient is allowed to send ONE message back as a reply, only to the original sender, by posting a similar action in their own room. - nolemonplease

Propagandist - Blue - You are on the blue team. During rounds 1 and 2, instead of having your Propagandist card, you have a Red Bomber card and appear as the Red Bomber. - rathstar

R

Ralphie's BB Gun - Blue/Red - Any player that co-reveals with you gains the “blind” condition. "Blind" players may never view another player's card (i.e., they may never view another player's co/color/private reveal message). - talusproteus

S

Scholar - Blue/Red - You begin the game knowing the names of one random person on the Blue Team and one random person on the Red Team. The Blue Scholar and the Red Scholar receive different names from each other. Example message: "Morgan IS on your team. Ariel IS NOT on your team." - nolemonplease

Serial Killer - Grey - At the beginning of rounds 1, 2, and 3, you must make note of the first person who addresses you (by name or by speaking to the entire room). If you can guess their roles before the end of the game, you win and those players lose. If you cannot guess each of those player's roles, you lose. -OddlyRaven

Shape Shifter - Blue/Red - The Shape Shifter takes on the color/role name attributes of their most recent share. They do not gain any powers. When they color or card share, they show the color or card of their most recent share.

For example, if the Blue Shape Shifter card shares with the Red Agent, they will show the Blue Shape Shifter in the reveal, and Red Agent on their next card share or Red on their next color share. If they then color share with a Blue, they will show Blue Agent on their next card share or Blue on their next color share. - longlivesquare

Skeptic - Blue/Red - You cannot vote for anyone whose color you have seen in a share or reveal, public or private. - contiguity

Sleeper Agent - Blue/Red - If, during rounds 2-4, there is a public reveal in your room from a card that is your color, then you switch allegiances to the other team. This trigger only affects you once per game. - nolemonplease

Strong Arm - Blue/Red - Once per game, the Strong Arm can publicly reveal their role. When they do so, the current leader of the room is forced to step down. A new leader must be re-elected as in the 1st round. The previous leader cannot be re-elected or place a vote for the rest of that round. Once a Strong Arm is revealed, the other Strong Arm cannot reveal in the same room during that round. This power can only be used in the first half of the round to allow players enough time to re-elect a new leader. - Borgoto, eskmoe

V

Vacuum - Blue/Red - Whenever another player private reveals to you, you take their card. You do not gain the powers or role of any card you take. If you have three cards, your bag is full and you cannot suck up anymore cards. - Slathe

W

Wallflower - Blue/Red - You need a little push to get socially involved. You start the game with the "shy" condition ("shy" players may not reveal any part of their card to anyone). When someone private reveals to you, you lose the "shy" condition. - rathstar
