Place your deposit via the BGG Store

Right now we are only asking for a $500 deposit for each stateroom. We need to get as many deposits as possible as early as possible so we can keep the right amount of space reserved for us. You are also encouraged to put in your deposit early as stateroom selection will be done in that order. You're certainly welcome to make full payment now as well if you'd like, and it is fully refundable (based on the schedule below). Full payment will be due no later than Thursday, January 15th, 2015.

We think this pricing is pretty competitive, but if you choose to make stateroom arrangements yourself you can still join our event for a fee of $250 per person. One thing to keep in mind, the first prices you see online generally don't include the following: (which are already built into our stateroom prices)
Taxes, Fees, Port Expenses: $101.40 per person
Pre-Paid Gratuities: $84.00 per person (or $99.75 for OS & GS)

Uh oh, I need a refund. How much will I get back?
Use the table below to determine how much you will receive based on when you request a refund.
Is today... Refund Amount
On or after Mar 20th, 2015 Sorry, no refund
On or after Feb 27th, 2015 50% of total price
On or after Jan 16th, 2015 100% of total price less $500 deposit
Before Jan 16th, 2015 100% of total price

Ok, how do I get in on this?
Simply to go the Geek Store and buy the "Stateroom Deposit" item for the category you wish to reserve. At some point before January 15th, 2015 you will also need to purchase a "Remainder Single/Double/Triple/Quadruple Occupancy" item for that same category. Every reservation must be paid for by purchasing both a "Deposit" item and a "Remainder" item, the latter of which varies based on the number of occupants in the stateroom.

Again, please put in your deposits now as we have to give Royal Caribbean these deposits to reserve the space, and also because you will be able to select your actual stateroom in order of deposit received.

Other questions

Should I make travel arrangements yet?
Personally, I'd wait until the end of November, if possible. Even though I'm confident this will be a success (due to the poll data), there's always a chance only a handful will actually put their money where their mouth was. If the poll is in any way accurate, we'll be fine. But if response is drastically lower we will call the whole thing off and refund any monies received. If necessary we'll make this call right after BGG.CON.

If, however, initial response is as strong as I hope and expect it to be, I'll certainly let y'all know earlier that it's safe to make travel arrangements.

How can I bring my family of 5+?
Although the larger family suites are already booked, we do have a limited number of adjoining suites and staterooms that inter-connect to each other. Simply purchase two Stateroom Deposit items and in the order comments specify that you'd like your staterooms to be adjoining.

What games are being brought?
We're still working that out. The initial thought was something like this would be the "Top 50 + 2" cruise - we bring the Top 50 games and each attendee gets to specify any two additional games that we'll bring. Or everyone picks 3 games for us to bring. Or we just do a big poll / GeekList. Or we do something else - we've got several months to work it out.

Will there be exhibitors? Prizes?
We've heard from some "in the biz" that they're interested in supporting this endeavor. Nothing official has been worked out yet though. We don't imagine we'll have traditional booths or anything, just hopefully some industry folks that want to join us in the fun. Maybe a sponsored on-board or at-port event or something.

Prizes... I'm sure there will be something... :ninja: At the very least we're considering a traditional bring-a-game-take-a-game prize table.
