Description

A weekly (well, technically twice a week) podcast about board games, video games and other geek-related jazz, hosted by a guy, standing in front of the internet, asking it to lo--listen to him... [Fairly] Regular segments include previews, reviews, game night recaps, and Kickstarter picks.

Recent Episodes

PSP #175: Board Gaming with Marrying Mr. Darcy, Superfight!, Ticket to Ride, and The Resistance (Again)

In today's episode, Marc reviews the card game, Marrying Mr. Darcy, and then talks about a few more games--including Superfight!, Rise of Augustus, Ticket to Ride, and, once again, just for a smidgen, The Resistance.

PSP #174: Board Gaming with Kittens in a Blender, Friday, and Kickstarter; Then, Game Clubbing with Heavenly Sword

In today's episode, Marc talks about two board games (well, one's a card game): Kittens in a Blender (if only it was real) and the great, solo-only Friday. After that, he goes over a few Kickstarter projects and then, happily, finishes the Heavenly Sword Game Club--there will be a week break before moving onto the next game, Chrono Trigger.

PSP #173: Board Gaming with Bang! The Dice Game, 1969, The Resistance: Avalon, and Baldrick's Tomb

In this episode, Marc mentions his review of Bang! The Dice Game...and then, basically, reviews it again on the show. After that, he talks about some board game annoyances--like elitist and vindictive players--while going over a few more games--including 1969, The Resistance: Avalon, and Baldrick's Tomb.

PSP #172: Board Gaming with Marvel Dice Masters, Shadows Over Camelot: The Card Game, and Kickstarter; Then Game Clubbing with Heavenly Sword

In this episode, Marc talks about more Marvel Dice Masters, having played a few more games, now using tournament rules, teaching the game to a few more people as well, and then talks about Shadows Over Camelot: The Card Game, a decent, simplified implementation of the board game, but not at all a replacement. After that, he goes over a few Kickstarter projects and then gets depressed as Game Club continues with more Heavenly Sword.

PSP #171: Board Gaming with Marvel Dice Masters, The Downfall of Pompeii, Cthulhu Dice, BANG!, and The Resistance

In this episode, Marc talks about the best game night in quite a while thanks to good games, good people, and a very welcome new face (and voice). The games discussed include Marvel Dice Masters, The Downfall of Pompeii, Cthulhu Dice, BANG!, and The Resistance.
