VGG Guide Episodic Games

The trend of releasing games as episodes has become increasingly common over the years. A game entry should be submitted for each individual episode:

Example:

Some episodic games fall into a grey area, where each episode or chapter is initially released on a different day and sold independently of each other. Once every episode or chapter has been released, they are then sold all together as a single game or package and are no longer offered individually.

Despite this we still give each episode a separate entry. Mind you this does not apply to every game with episodes or chapters; just to the ones with episodes or chapters released on different dates. We do this as a way to track all of the different release dates. It also allows people to talk about each episode individually. Almost everything we do around VGG revolves around adding games to GeekLists, so being able to add a specific episode is very helpful.

Example:

Episodic games can be grouped together with a series. They should never be listed as expansions.
