Room 12 - The Pit
As you edge out onto the beam, you hear a click and with a sinking feeling, you feel the walkway start to retract and the door behind you slam shut. The far door stays tantalizingly open, though.
Roll to jump to safety! If you're a thief, you were already looking for trap mechanisms and spotted this one almost in time - the door was swinging shut but you're already wound like a coiled spring so roll your extra die.
5+ You plant your feet against the wall and get as good of a running start as you can, soaring across the void and landing gracefully on the far platform.
4: You almost don't make it, but thankfully you slap your arms down on the surface and get a good enough grip to swing a leg up and crawl to safety. -3HP
3-: You either react much too slowly or stumble as you jump, but your hands just catch the lip of the other side. Your feet dangle in the black darkness and you claw at the stone. Eventually one hand slips and you acknowledge that your other hand is down to just fingertips, too. Lucky for you, the fall kills you before the family of ogres using even lower depths of the well as a home gets to gnawing at your bones.
