Two Rooms and a Boom PBF Rules
How to Play
The moderator will create two different "room" threads for each round (like "PBF #1 - The Bunker Round 1" and "PBF #1 - The Command Post Round 1") and a "main" thread (this one) where the mod keeps track of transfers. Players are randomly assigned rooms and roles by private message. Each PBF round is 24 hours.
All players assigned into a room MUST NOT look at the other room's thread as that is CHEATING. They may only read and post in their assigned room.
The room's leader should send a private message to the moderator choosing a certain number of hostages (depending on the round and number of players) to send to the other room at the end of the round. The selected hostages can be changed as necessary during the round without penalty, but must be done before the round ends.
The moderator will create two new room threads for each new round. Once a round has ended, the new room threads will be used. The hostages from each room will "move" to the other room's new thread; everyone not selected as a hostage will use their current room's new thread.
It each room, it will take absolute majority votes to make someone leader. If, by the end of the first round, there are not absolute majority votes cast on a single person, then whoever has had the most votes on them at that point becomes leader. If there is a tie, we are using the Longest-Held Last Vote rule.
Chronologically, Clyde was the first to vote, and votes for Machiavellian. Natalie is second to vote, and votes for Peer. Peer then votes for himself. Machiavellian then votes for himself. The tally reads as follows:
Peer- Natalie (2), Peer (3)
Machiavellian- Clyde (1), Machiavellian (4)
Peer becomes leader.
In subsequent rounds, the leader remains leader until a majority of players have voted for a new leader, in which case that new player becomes leader. A leader can also offer leadership to someone else. If they accept, they become leader. Leaders may also assign someone else as leader at the end of the round because he/she wants to send him/herself as a transfer for the round.
Leaders may also assign a second-in-command, who will be given the ability to change the leader's transfers for the round. The last transfer order message given to me by either the leader or their second-in-command will be the official transfers for the round.
In order for a round to end early, both rooms' majorities can lock their votes on a new leader, or the current leader, and both leaders can send me their transfer orders. I will then process them, and the next round will begin earlier. You can unlock a vote whenever you wish, until a majority of locked votes in your room have been cast, in which case, that person becomes leader for the round.

To assign a second-in-command, bold in your room thread: Assign (player of your choice) as second-in-command

Reveals and sharing.
There are six types of reveals and sharing.
Public reveal: you are showing your card to the whole room. Everyone in your room will know who you are after this.
Public color reveal: you are showing the color of your card to the whole room. Everyone in your room will know what color you are after this.
Private reveal: you are showing your card to someone. Only that person will know what your card is, unless they decide to pass that information on.
Private color reveal: you are showing the color of your card to someone. Only that person will know what color you are, unless they decide to pass that information on.
Card share: you are making a deal with someone that both of you show your cards to one another. Both terms mean the same thing. Once the other person accepts, you are bound to send that player your card via private message.
Color share: you are making a deal with someone that both of you show each other the color of your card. Once the other person accepts, you are bound to send that player the color of your card via private message.
To public reveal, bold in your room thread: I am (your role).

To make an offer to card share, bold in your room thread: Offer card share to (player of your choice)
To make an offer to color share, bold in your room thread: Offer color share to (player of your choice)
When you don't want to say something to the whole room, you can whisper other players. The whole room will see that you are whispering, though.
To whisper, bold in your room thread: Whisper (player of your choice) then you can send them a Geekmail.
If you send a Geekmail to anyone about anything other than this game, it does not need to be bolded.
You may NOT whisper anyone who is not in your room! Except the mod. Whispers to mod do not need to be bolded. :P
You may whisper several players at once, as long as you are bolding each entry, whether it is in the same post or not.
You may NOT bold anything about another player. For example, if I know that Natalie is the Blue Spy, I can never tell another player in bold that she is. This means you can lie about anything in the game, but anything that is bolded MUST be true. If you are an Angel, you must always tell the truth, unless you become cured by visiting a Medic. If you are a Demon, you must always lie, unless you become cured by visiting a Medic.
Because spectators and future geeks browsing the forums may want to see what was said during those whisper exchanges (it makes the game more interesting), you may consider posting your messages in a
and use a cypher (for instance Rot13)to keep people from accidentally reading the message.
The most direct way to encode and decode a Rot13 website is thru a website such as (Rot13). To use the encoder on the website, just type in whatever message you would like to whisper, hit CYPHER, and post the encoded text in your spoiler. Whoever receives the whisper should then copy the encoded text, paste it back into the rot13 encoder/decoder, and hit CYPHER.
The easiest way is with a bookmarklet. To use a bookmarklet simply drag the link to your bookmarks bar. When ready click the link and it will activate and decode or encode the text
- Bookmarklet #1 - will transform selected text. Useful for encoding and decoding.
- Bookmarklet #2 - useful for decoding selected text. Will encode text but only in an alert which you are unable to copy from.
NOTE: DO NOT READ MESSAGES MEANT FOR OTHER PEOPLE, especially those from opposing team members. THIS IS CHEATING. You are welcome to go back after the game is over and read what people posted.
